Milestone
That's it from this thriller of a game in BBL 2023/24. We will be back with more cricketing actions from across the world and across formats tomorrow in our network. For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Sidharth Gulati alongside scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Jordan Silk (Player of the Match): "Great finish. Absolute chaos out there. Jamie with the six for them there kept it going. But Jackson Bird bowled well and Todd Murphy bowled well as well.

We bowled well at the top and like to defend these totals at the SCG. It was a great game and we pegged things back after a good start.

Moises did well and has led from the front. Nice to contribute to the team and good that I finished it off for the side.

Always great to contribute to the team. It was a great game, finish and glad we came out on top of it."
Player of the Match: Jordan Silk.
5:02 PM IST and 10:32 PM Local Time | That's it. Sydney Sixers clinch a one-run thriller.

Asked to bat first, Sydney Sixers posted 155/7 in their allotted 20 overs thanks to Jordan Silkā€™s unbeaten 45-ball 66 and Josh Philippeā€™s 25 off 16. Silk didnā€™t get enough support from the other end, but he made sure to bat sensibly, punished loose deliveries and helped his team cross the 150 mark. For Adelaide Strikers, Jamie Overton grabbed a three-wicket haul while Matthew Short took two.

In reply, Strikers were 84/3 at the halfway mark and their chase looked well on track. However, they couldnā€™t find consistent boundaries in the next few overs, lost Short, who hit a fifty, at a crucial interval, and in a way had a bit too much to get (18 runs) in the final over. Overton smashed a six and a four, took Strikers close, but he couldnā€™t get the job done for them. Overton remained unbeaten on 31. For Sixers, Jackson Bird and Moises Henriques took two wickets apiece.

Overton tries his best, but can't help his team cross the finishing line. He's disappointed. Sixers are a happy unit!

19.6 B Dwarshuis to J Overton
2 A low full toss at the leg stump. Overton makes room and swings hard, slicing it off the bottom half of the bat as the ball flies over the cover region. The fielder in the deep will cut it off by running to his right. They will come back for the second run as Overton dives to get through the crease but that will not be enough on the night. Overton has tried his best, but Dwarshuis does just about enough as the Sixers win this game by a solitary run to make it 3 wins out of 3 games.
4 off 1. Has Nielsen done his job? Well, we'll find out in a minute or two. Henriques and Vince have a chat with the bowler about field placements.
19.5 B Dwarshuis to H Nielsen
1 Fuller length around off, Nielsen works it down to mid-on for a single and gets to the other end.
Overton is off the strike now. 5 off 2. What will Nielsen do here?
19.4 B Dwarshuis to J Overton
1 Fuller length around off, Overton drives it down the ground to mid-off for a single.
High, high and over the deep backward square leg boundary. Overton, you beauty! Sheer power. 6 off 3
19.3 B Dwarshuis to J Overton
6 SIX! Short of a length into the pitch, Overton takes it on and pulls it away over square leg as the ball sails into the stands for the maximum. What a hit this is as Overton keeps his side in the game.
A quick brace for Overton. The throw from deep mid-wicket was poor. 12 off 4
19.2 B Dwarshuis to J Overton
2 A low full toss on the pads, Overton flicks it away to the deep midwicket region and he scampers back for a quick couple of runs.
Overton begins with a boundary. 14 off 5. Can Strikers do it?
19.1 B Dwarshuis to J Overton
4 FOUR! Short of a length slower ball outside off, Overton makes room and carves it away through the covers as the ball races away to the fence for a boundary.
Adelaide Strikers need 18 off 6. Ben Dwarshuis to bowl the final over.
