Player Bio

An extremely talented wicket-keeper batsman, Harry Nielsen is a professional Australian cricketer who represents South Australia and also plays for Woodville in Adelaide Premier cricket. The son of former Australian coach Tim Nielsen, Harry was a part of the U-23 squad of SA, leading the run-scoring charts in 2016-17.

After making his debut for the senior side of SA in early 2018, Harry scored a memorable century against Victoria in his first match in the Baggy Red. He continued to pile up runs and even scored a century for Cricket Australia’s XI against the touring Indian side.

The 26-year old gloveman earned his maiden Big Bash League (BBL) from Adelaide Strikers prior to the seventh edition of the premier competition and made his debut against Melbourne Renegades in February 2018. Having featured in just a handful of games in the tenth edition of the BBL, Harry would be looking to bounce back and cement his place in the Striker’s squad.
