That brings us to the end of our live coverage of this Women's T20 international between Pakistan and South Africa. For now, it's Soumarya Dutta signing off on behalf of Hiren and our Scorer/Analyst Raju Khariya. Good night and see you soon!
Laura Wolvaardt (South Africa Women Captain): "It is good to win the first game. Another good thing will be that the players will think they have not performed at their best. It was great to defend this total. The bowlers were excellent.

Kapp is one of our best players and she has been performing for us from time to time. Naidu's catch was impressive and that will be a good debut to remember for her."
Fatima Sana (Pakistan Women Captain)- "It didn't feel like that we were losing out and I thought we were in the game for a long time. We failed to get the big overs towards the end which cost us. We played the spinners as it's our strength. The ball was gripping a bit too. I will look to continue to keep up the all-round effort. Would have been prouder had we won.

Aliya Riaz played a good knock but we were under too much pressure early on and hence couldn't capitalize in the end. "
Tazmin Brits (Player of the Match): "The pitch was a bit difficult to bat on. Credit to Pakistan. They bowled well in the powerplay. I got a few instructions from the dug out. It was a bit frustrating at times as I was struggling and was letting the team down. Good we finished well in the end."

Welcome to the post match presentations.
22:46 IST and 22:16 Local Time- It was quite close in the end for the South Africa Women as the final over went for 20 runs but they've clinched the game comfortably in the end. They go 1-0 up in the series and it has been an excellent bowling effort from them despite those dropped chances in the field. Aliya Riaz fought hard for Pakistan Women and got some good support from skipper Fatima Sana, but it was too little too late as the game had gone away from their grasp.

Pakistan got off to a terrible start as they were jolted by the loss of early wickets in the powerplay. They could only muster up 18 runs in the first six overs for the loss of three wickets. Kapp picked up both Gul Feroza and Sidra Ameen before Muneeba Ali was dismissed by the other seamer Tumi Sekhukhune.

Nida Dar and Aliya Riaz, the two experienced players got together to weather the storm. They took their time initially and once the powerplay was done, they started to play a bit more strokes. They attacked the young leg spinner Naidu and picked up a few boundaries but despite that the required run rate was too high at the halfway stage with Pakistan needing 93 from 60 balls.

Nida Dar was dismissed in the quest of some big runs and South African bowlers continued to have the stranglehold on the batters. It was a tough period of play for Pakistan but Fatima Sana came in and showed some intent. She managed to up the scoring rate and heading into the final five overs Pakistan needed 60 runs to win.

For South Africa Kapp and Sekhukhune were the pick of the bowlers with a couple of wickets each. The debutant Naidu picked up a wicket while Chole Tryon was extremely economical and created the pressure on the batters. Ayabonga Khaka was superb too except that an expensive final over spoilt her figures a bit.

19.6 A Khaka to F Sana
4 FOUR! Full toss ball again, wide outside off this time, Sana makes room, reaches for it and cuts it up and over point for a boundary. South Africa women win by 10 runs and take a 1-0 lead in the three match series.
19.5 A Khaka to A Riaz
1 Low full toss, around leg, Riaz comes down the track and clips it to deep mid wicket for a single.
19.5 A Khaka to A Riaz
WD WIDE! Full and down the leg side, Riaz tries to reach for it but misses. Wide called.
50 comes up for Aliya Riaz and it has been a lone hand from her. She has fought through the innings without much support from the other end.
19.4 A Khaka to A Riaz
2 Slightly short and around off, Riaz jabs it down to deep square leg for a double. 50 up for her. Not much celebrations though.
19.3 A Khaka to A Riaz
6 SIX! Full and into the stumps, Riaz clears her front leg and smokes it straight down the ground over long on for a biggie.
It's a boundary but it also means that Pakistan need 25 runs from four balls now. It's all but over for them.
19.2 A Khaka to A Riaz
4 FOUR! Fuller and outside off, Riaz backs away, comes down the track and thumps it over covers for a boundary.
19.1 A Khaka to F Sana
1 Fuller length ball, just outside off, Sana clears her front leg and lofts it down to long off for a single.
Pakistan Women need 30 runs from the final over and it should be all but a formality for the Proteas. Only a miracle can get the hosts over the line. Ayabonga Khaka to bowl the final over.
