After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Zak Crawley and Daniel Bell-Drummond for Kent. They added 59 runs for the first wicket before Bell-Drummond was dismissed for 42 of 27 balls. Zak Crawley managed to score 20 from 15 balls before skipper Sam Billings played a vital knock of 43 runs from 30 balls.
