That's it from our coverage of a spectacular game in the Bangladesh Premier League. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Wali Siddique and scorer/analyst Bishal Mandal. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Litton Das (Comilla Victorians Captain): "The way Jack, Moeen bhai and me batted was amazing and everyone did a fantastic job. I felt its a very good wicket to bat on. Defending anything close to 200 is difficult on this ground. Its good to see Rishad bowl really well."
Will Jacks (Player of the Match): "Good game, great wicket and I really enjoyed it out there. It was an amazing surface for us batters. Went in there with a free aptitude and targeted to go higher and higher with the score. I was trying to hide but I got in the right position five times to take those catches."
Will Jacks is the player of the match.
4:13 PM IST, 4:43 PM Local Time: The Comilla Victorians bulldoze the Chattogram Challengers by a huge margin of 73 runs on the back of magnificent performances from Will Jacks, Moeen Ali and Litton Das.
After losing the toss and invited to bat first, the Victorians put a mammoth total of 239/3 on the back of Will Jacks' 108 not out in 53 deliveries. Litton Das at the top of the order was amazing with a 31-ball-60 with Moeen Ali providing the finishing touches with an unbeaten 53 off 24 balls.
The chase was looking well on course with the openers adding 61 runs in the powerplay without losing a wicket. Tanzid Hasan scored 41 off 24 and Josh Brown 36 in 23 balls. Mustafizur Rahman (2/46) got the first breakthrough in his first over but was expensive in his three-over spell.
Rishad Hossain got three wickets in his first 2 overs and finished a magnificent spell with 4/22 to his name. There wasn't much resistance from the middle order except for Shykat Ali who scored 36 in 11 balls and was dismissed by Moeen Ali in the 15th over.
Returning in the 17th over again, Moeen picked up 3 wickets in 3 balls achieving a hattrick to bundle Chattogram Challengers out for 166 in 16.3 overs finishing his spell of three and a half overs with 4/23.
Stay tuned as we return with the post match coverage.
W BOWLED HIM! It's a hattrick for Moeen Ali!! What an allrounder! Smashes the bowlers all over the park and then cleans up the tail. A full length delivery pitched on the middle stump from around the stumps. Bilal dances down the track looking to swing across the line. Misses the ball completely and watches the stumps shattered. Victorians win by 73 runs.
W IN THE AIR AND TAKEN! Moeen Ali on a hattrick! Al-Amin's poor day in the field continues with the bat as well. Full length ball pitching outside the off stump. Gets on the front foot and goes for a slog down the ground and plays it straight down Will Jacks' throat who takes his fifth catch.
W GONE! STUMPED! Moeen Ali gets his second scalp after hitting a fine fifty in the first innings. Gives the ball plenty of air, bowls it on good length and away from the right hander. Islam dances down the track looking to go for a big stroke and misses. Ankon collects the ball and whips the bails instantly.
