So that marks the end of our coverage from the super-eight match of National T20 Cup between Karachi Whites and Lahore Blues. This is me, Saptak Sanyal, signing off on the behalf of my co-commentator Sourya Chowdhury and our scorer/analyst Yogesh Kumar. Good night!
Asad Shafiq(Karachi Whites captain)- "We should have scored 175 to 180 considering the start we got. I got out at  wrong time. Danish Aziz and Azam Khan batted really well to help us to reach to 165.

Our bowlers were really fantastic. They bowled really well in the powerplay and that is one of the reasons, we won the game today.

We have a lot to improve in the batting in the middle overs. We are not having the required partnership. We will definitely talk about it before tomorrow morning's game."
Hussain Talat(Lahore Blues skipper)- "We had a plan to restrict them under 170 and that was the reason we opted to bat first and we did that.

We were not up to the mark as per our batting standards and our batting failure is the cause of the loss.

The only setback of our innings was that we failed to get any partnership at the top order. If we had the partnership, we would have won."
Danish Aziz(Karachi Whites)- "I saw that the ball is spinning and I wanted to keep the ball at the right places. I and Azam tried to take the game deep and got out at the wrong time. But 160 was a good total which we defended."
Player of the Match- Danish Aziz
Outstanding player award for the match- Azam Khan
23:59 IST and 23:29 Local Time | Sourya: The Karachi Whites have romped home to a victory at home here at the National Stadium by 19 runs after a fine performance against the Lahore Blues who looked good with the ball but lost the plot in their chase of a competitive 164/9.

At one stage, it seemed Lahore will be all out within the first 10 overs after an almighty collapse that included a hit-wicket but also more traditional dismissals as Karachi used the swing with the new ball dexterously while the visiting batsmen also committed hara-kiri. At 36/7, Lahore were heading for an embarrassing reverse with only Hashim Ibrahim managing a 22 among the recognised batsmen.

But then Kashif Bhatti (50 off 45) and Umaid Asif (24 off 18) came together to stitch together a fine lower-order partnership. Karachi lost the sting with the ball as sixes kept on raining even after the two departed. In the end, Lahore came within 19 of the Whites’ total, something that seemed impossible in the first few overs. For Karachi, Danish Aziz (3/16) was superb with the new ball, leg spinner Arif Yaqoob also bowled a great spell, while Ghulam Mudassar also picked up three wickets.

Earlier, having been put into bat, Karachi struggled against the extra bounce to lose quick wickets and had to rely on Azam Khan (41 off 22), and Danish Aziz stitching together a fine partnership to reach their total. Both got out before finishing off the job with some good fielding also coming into play.
But in the end, their efforts with the willow were enough. They had got a bright start with Ammad Alam (28 off 17) as well. Nishar Ahmad was the pick of the bowlers with sterling figures of 3/23, his career-best figures. Hunain Shah was also on the top of his game and picked up three wickets as well. In the end though, their top-order failures led to a deflating loss.

19.4 A Ibrahim to H Shah
W OUT! No fairytale comeback here, the yorker from Ibrahim finally goes through the defences of the batter as Hunain Shah went for a hat-trick of sixes with a hoik over long on but missed it to be clean bowled.
Saptak- One no-ball and a boundary of it would create the pressure on Aftab Ibrahim now.
19.3 A Ibrahim to H Shah
6 SIX more! What a show, short outside off and cut away hard over point. 20 off 3 left.
SIXXXX to get off the mark! Karachi Whites needs just 4 legal balls from here.
19.2 A Ibrahim to H Shah
6 Another six! Attempted in-swinging yorker is actuall a half-volley. Still needed to be put away and the No. 11 connects sweetly with his lofted on drive as it sails over long on.
Hunain Shah is the final man to walk in with the bat for Lahore!

19.1 A Ibrahim to U Asif
W OUT. Umaid's cameo ends. Pitched up with pace on leg and middle, hits the bat and the inside edge then comes off the pads on to the leg stumps.
32 from the final 6 balls is the ask! Lahore Blues need five consecutive sixes from here.
