That concludes our coverage as well. Thank you for joining us. We hope you enjoyed the rain-hit nail-biter. It is a double-header day in the WBBL and you can follow our coverage of the second match of today's double-header. For now, it's me, Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Soumarya Dutta, and scorer/analyst Dushyant Madhukar Kumar. CHEERS!
Player of the Match: Sophie Day
12:32 PM IST, 18:02 Local Time: Chloe Tryon displayed nerves of steel as she saved seven runs in the final over, taking three wickets and conceding only two runs to win the rain-curtailed thriller. Sydney Sixers Women win by 4 runs (DLS).

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Sydney Sixers Women posted 134/7 in 20 overs. Ellyse Perry and Maitlan Brown provided a decent start for the Sixers, adding 33 runs for the first wicket. Perry departed after contributing 22 runs off 15 balls, while Brown departed for 19 runs off 24 balls.

The Sixers struggled to score runs at a decent pace in the middle overs and lost wickets at regular intervals. Suzie Bates contributed a valuable 27 runs off 19 balls at the cue end of the innings, and a few single-digit scores from the tailenders have propelled the Sixers Women to 134/7 in 20 overs.

Sophie Day shone with the ball for the Stars as she wreaked havoc with the ball and completed a 5-wicket haul, the best bowling figure for the Stars in the WBBL. Sutherland and Alice Capsey celebrated a wicket apiece.

In pursuit of 134 runs, Melbourne Stars Women lost both their openers for a duck inside the 2 overs. Alice Capsey and Annabel Sutherland started the rescue mission and Capsey scored at a brisk pace but failed to carry the momentum and perished after scoring 21 runs off 14 balls.

Maia Bouchier joined Belsy in the middle and the former scored at a brisk pace under the light drizzle to keep the DLS score in check. However, the rain intensified in the sixth over and the play had to be stopped after 5.4 overs with the scoreboard showing a score of 44/3.

After a 40-minute rain break, the match was reduced to seven overs, with the Stars needing 56 runs to win. So, basically, the Stars needed 12 runs in the final 8 balls. Bouchier began the game with a boundary after the rain break and took a single on the last ball of Perry's over, reducing the equation to 7 runs off 6 balls.

Perry handed the ball to Chloe Tryon for the final over of the match and the Stars were well on top at the moment but Tryon displayed nerves of steel as she saved seven runs in the final over, taking three wickets and conceding only two runs and helping her side win this match by 4 runs.

Chloe Tryon extracted three wickets for the Sixers, while Lauren Cheatle and Linsey Smith contributed two and one wickets, respectively.

Back-to-back win for the Sixers and the two-time champions will look to carry the momentum in the upcoming games.

3-2(1.0)
Unbelievable, Stars needed 7 runs off the final over but Tryon conceded only 2 runs in the final over of the match and extracted three wickets to help her side win the match by 4 runs.
6.6 Tryon to A Sutherland
W OUT! Tryon inspires the SIXERS to an incredible win here! It was bowled at the stumps and Sutherland went for the big shot over the cow corner. She didn't get hold of it and it went straight to Ash Gardner who was stationed at the boundary. The Sydney side have won a closely fought thriller by the "Barest of margins"
Just a single and the equation is reduced to 5 runs off 1 ball. Is it super over on the cards? Belsy is on strike.
6.5 Tryon to K Garth
1 Fuller and outside off stump. Garth steps down the pitch and pushes it  into the gap through point for a  single.
Another dot ball and the Sixers are top now. 6 needed off 2 balls. The Stars need one big hit in 2 balls now.
6.4 Tryon to K Garth
0 Dot ball! Garth survives the hattrick ball but she can't get it away. It was on leg stump line and she tried to sweep. She missed it and the umpire  didn't call it wide.
Kim Garth will face the hat-trick ball.

Kim Garth walks out to bat next. Will she be able to seal the deal for her side?
Back-to-back wickets for Tryon and she is on a hat-trick. Bates takes another catch and the Stars are in a spot of bother now. 6 needed off 3 balls now.
6.3 Tryon to N Faltum
W Two in two! Tryon is on a hattrick and Stars are crumbling under pressure! It was fuller and outside off. Faltum was drawn into the shot and tried to go big down the ground. She didn't get the elevation or the distance and holed out to Bates at long off.
