Take a moment and breathe before walking ahead. Bas de Leede with some unbelievable numbers today and the party will go on for the Dutch side. They will play Sri Lanka in the final of this tournament on Sunday that is the July 9th at Harare. There are plenty of cricketing action going around the world and stay tuned with us to follow every bit of it.

For now, this is me AkshayaKrishna Polya signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash and scorer/analyst Dushyant Madhukar Kumar who brought you all the live-action of this mouth-watering fixture!
The whole of the Netherlands side is posing together for photographs celebrating the success of the side making to the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 by barest of margins on net run rate knocking Scotland out of the mega event.
Scott Edwards (Netherlands Captain): "Extremely happy, that is what I have got. Little bit lost with the words. Ahh... We thought that the West Indies game was a bit hard to watch for, but for the last 20 overs watching Saqib and de Leede was next level. Yeah, it was unbelievable to watch.

This group is incredible. We stay together as a group day and day out playing for Netherlands and the guys enjoy everyone's success. Yeah, we were never worried about it. We had the confident with the group and that showed in every other game as we had a different match winner. Even the games we lost, we felt that we played really good cricket or the majority of it. Yeah, it is a very awesome feeling.

Ahh.. By seeing at this wicket, I wouldn't have taken 278 to chase down in 44 overs. But then the way we say them playing in the first innings, it was a very good wicket. First 15 overs of our innings, it played pretty okay. It behaved a bit tricky in the last 30 overs. Just unbelievable batting from Bas de Leede and Saqib in the end. We did have a belief all the way through the game. Yeah, that's it (smiles).

Yeah, Cooky (Cook- Interim coach of Netherlands) brought all of us together in the innings break and gave us a target of 140 in 26 overs. Maybe 15-20 behind we were at that stage. But we knew what we wanted to do. Yeah, obviously, we needed a couple of batters to cash in there.

Yeah, it was an unbelievable game for Bas de Leede. Five wickets and then a big hundred, he has had a great game. Some unbelievable starts out there for Bas de Leede. He is an unbelievable player and everyone knew that. It is the first time he has done that and I bet you it won't be the last. Cheers."
Richie Berrington (Scotland Captain): "Very tough one to take. The guys will be hurting right now. We are all hurting right now. However, we have to give credit to the Netherlands. Through the middle phase, we created a lot of pressure but could not quite carry it off. I think they ran exceptionally well between the wickets.

I can't find my boys' results at all- they gave it their all. There wasn't a lot of swing today but we deviated from our plans a little and that is what allowed them to come back. Bas de Leede was simply fantastic today. We knew we had to beat some really good teams. Holland were the better team today and they found a way to get over the line today."
Bas de Leede (Player of the Match): "Yeah, we had to look at the target at the halfway point, from that time onwards Maxi (O'Dowd)and Vikram (Vikramjit) set things up and made it easier for me to come in and finish it off. For me, it was always to get into the T20 mode and try and get as many runs as we could and see where we ended up. It's amazing and I can't express the emotion, I am sure it's gonna be one big party tonight."
Logan van Beek (Netherlands): "I am buzzing I'm buzzing, honestly buzzing right now and walking back, my whole body is shaking right now, this is unbelievable. Taking back to Takashinga where we needed one to win, I ran for my life and went to the other end. We tried to build a culture, we tried to ride the boat. Each individual contributed their unique spirit, skills, and unwavering passion. Over the course of six months, our team has formed an unbreakable bond, overcoming numerous challenges along the way. All hail Bas de Leede!!"
Vikramjit Singh (Netherlands): "Oh my god, I got no words. We are practicing these scenarios for the last five months, finally putting them into action, just brilliant. We knew it was going to be up and down, we were quite confident, if we get a good start we could make it."
Netherlands won the toss and decided to put Scotland in first, as Scott Edwards wanted to know the target they were chasing. Logan van Beek (10-0-49-1) provided his side a flying start by knocking over Matthew Cross for a silver duck. Christopher McBride and Brandon McMullen added 45 runs for the second wicket. Bas de Leede came into the attack and dismissed well-set McBride (32 off 38) and George Munsey (9 off 14) in quick succession, reducing the Scottish side to 64/3.

Man in form McMullen got the support of his captain Richard Berrington as they stitched a partnership of 137-run for the fourth wicket to lift the sinking ship. McMullen (106 off 110) was magnificent yet again, scoring runs all around the ground and smashing his second ODI hundred.

Ryan Klein (10-0-59-2) bowled a beautiful delivery to knock over McMullen in the 38th over. Wickets fell at regular intervals afterwards, and Scotland managed to put 277/9 in 50 overs. Berrington (64 off 84) started slowly but played an impactful innings scoring an excellent half-century. Though de Leede (10-0-52-5) was picking wickets at regular patches and got to his first ODI fifer, Tomas Mackintosh (38* off 28) kept ticking the scoreboard with odd boundaries. Mackintosh’s innings helped the Scottish side post a competitive total of 277/9 in 50 overs.
7:42 PM IST, 4:12 PM Local Time: Bas de Leede is a clutch! Just take your breath and bow down to the man of the moment. Netherlands have found a couple of gems of all-rounders in the tournament. Against West Indies, it was Logan van Beek! Today, it is Bas de Leede! Five wickets with the ball and an unbelievable century with the bat chasing 278 in 44 overs for the qualification. This is what you play for! All hail Bas de Leede for what he has done today. Last time Netherlands played an ODI World Cup was in 2011 and guess what? That was in India (jointly hosted by India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) as well.

Chasing 278 in 44 overs for the qualification, Netherlands’ openers Max O’Dowd (20 off 34) and Vikramjit Singh (40 off 49) provided a good start adding 65 for the first wicket. Michael Leask was introduced into the attack and removed both these batters trapping them in front of the stumps. Wesley Barresi and Teja Nidamanuru did got to the double figures but couldn't bat long throwing their wickets away and leaving the side in a bit of trouble at 108/4.

Captain Scott Edwards (25 off 23) joined hands with de Leede adding a quick 55-run partnership for the 5th wicket before the former was adjudged lbw off Mark Watt in the 31st over.

De Leede continued to take calculative risks and smashed shots with precision scoring a brilliant century. He became the first Dutch player to score a hundred and pick five wickets in the same match. Overall, he became the fourth in world cricket to achieve the feat. De Leede smashed 7 fours and 5 sixes in his match-winning 123 off 92 and was brilliantly supported by the leg spinning all-rounder Saqib Zulfiqar (33* off 32) putting 113 runs for the 6th wicket in no time.

It was Watt's over (41st of the innings) where both smashed 22 runs taking the match away from the Scotland's grasp. De Leede was run-out at the final moments of the game but it was too late for the bowling side. Logan van Beek drove the fifth ball of the 43rd over to mid-off sneaking a single and scripting a history beating Scotland by 4 wickets and making it to the main stage of the event.

Stay tuned to the post-match presentations!

A direct-hit at the bowler's end and the third umpire is referred here. Bas de Leede is well short of the crease and he has to walk back now. He gets a pat on his back from his teammate.

W WICKETTT!!!!! A silly piece of running and Bas de Leede puts his head down walking back to the pavilion. Yorker length at the stumps. Bas de Leede brings his bat down in time and jams it to the left of Sharif at short mid-wicket. They run for the risky single. Sharif is quick to get to the ball and hit the bullseye at the bowler's end with an underarm throw. TV umpire looks at it and gives out straightaway without any hesitation. Nonetheless a match-winning hundred from Bas de Leede receives standing ovation from all over the world.
