Player Bio

A top-class fast bowler, Chris Sole is a professional cricketer for the Scottish national team who arrived at the domestic level in 2015 in the ICC Intercontinental Cup against the United Arab Emirates in August.

Hailing from Bendigo, Sole made his international debut the following year against the same opponents and ended the match with 3 wickets in a close victory. Sole earned the grand final player of the match for his 2-9 off four overs as the Suns held off Kangaroo Flat by six runs to capture their fifth BDCA T20 title.

Having played one of the leading roles for Scotland, Sole has played over 15 international fixtures for Scotland picking up wickets in a career spanning over two years. Having moved to the Southern hemisphere just over 18 months ago to play cricket and live with his partner in Bendigo, it seemed like logistics and travelling would make it hard for Sole to be part of the international setup that he had first joined in 2016

Sole was recently drafted to the Suns full-time to give a massive bowling boost. Sole's inclusion adds another weapon to the Suns' bowling department that was heavily relying on the spinners.
