So, that is it from myself, Karthik Raj, my co-commentator, Ayan Chatterjee and our scorer, Ashok. There will be a couple of days in the CPL but we will return with a double-header on Saturday. Until then, it is a warm good-bye.
Kieron Pollard (Trinbago Knight Riders Captain): "Total team effort. The way we batted to get over 200+ and then the way we fielded was amazing. Much better effort from the boys. We knew what to do and getting the last 5 overs runs was amazing. Pooran batted well and want to see this kind of innings on a consistent basis. We know how he can be dangerous and he showed his prowess. I recommend the bowling line up and congratulate it. The spinners did well for us. I hope we will do well in the coming games. It's all about momentum and looking forward to rest a bit and relax and come back stronger. Hope to entertain the fans as always and look to do well for my team. No practise session for the next two days and hope to see at the Lara Academy over the weekend."
Rovman Powell (Barbados Royals captain): "210 would always be a difficult total. If it was 185 or 190, we would have backed ourselves. It definitely has an impact. The crowd definitely provides a lot of support to the team. Kyle Mayers batted well, Qais also bowled nicely."
Nicholas Pooran (Player of the Match): "First of all thanks to Jesus. Return to form and I am happy that I am doing well and contributing to the team's luck. I had luck today with the run out and thanks to Polly that I got a reprieve. Happy to contribute to the team. I had to be responsible for my team and made up for my team. Everything happens for a reason and I wanted to take the game deep. Couple of close calls. It was all about doing what should work and what is not working for me. It was all about taking responsibility and help my team get two points. Glad we got the win and climb upwards in the table."

Mayers carried on with his show at end and got to his first fifty of the season but the match had gone out of the Royals’ hands by then. The Royals’ skipper Rovman Powell also departed in the 13th over off Waqar’s bowling to signal the final nail in the coffin. Mayers produced a few more big shots before his 70-run knock was brought to an end by Ali Khan. In the 16th over, Jason Holder struck a couple of big hits before Sunil Narine castled him. But Holder got a reprieve as Narine had over-stepped. Eventually, Narine did finish with a wicket as Alick Athanaze swept the ball straight to the man at deep backward square-leg. A couple of overs later, Andre Russell also joined the party as Nyeem Young holed out to Pollard at cover-point. TKR continued to chip away with Holder being stumped off Akeal Hosein’s bowling in the penultimate over. In the end, Roelof van der Merwe had some fun with a few big hits but it was TKR who emerged victorious by a big margin.

So, a superb comeback from TKR as they post a 42-run victory after going down to Guyana Amazon Warriors yesterday. Chasing a massive 209 for victory, Barbados Royals needed a terrific start but Rahkeem Cornwall was deceived by Akeal Hosein in the third over. Thereafter, the duo of Kyle Mayers and Laurie Evans managed to get a decent end to the Powerplay with the Royals moving to 46/1. However, the pair of Waqar Salamkheil and Sunil Narine produced dot balls and increased the pressure on the batters. Eventually, Waqar managed to get Evans to sky one to mid-wicket and the keeper completed an easy catch.
