That's it from all of us for this game. Do join us for more cricketing action all around the globe. This is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentator Ninaad Dixit and scorer Ashok Dayma. Until next time, cheers and goodbye.
Chamari Athapaththu receives the trophy and her teammates join in for the photographs. They pose with the trophy along with the support staff.
Chamari Athapaththu (Sri Lanka Women Skipper): "I would like to thank Sri Lanka cricket, the groundstaff and the spectators. They have shown lot of support for the game. I'm really happy about my team performance and individually I am happy about my performance and I can mention Harshitha Madavi. She is an upcoming cricketer and Kavisha Dilhari, she is playing good cricket. So these are the positive things we will carry on from the series. The seniors like Inoka and all supported a lot for me to win the series."
Nigar Sultana (Bangladesh Women Skipper): "Disappointed with how we ended the series. We started brilliantly but failed to close out the series. We will take positives from this series. We didn't play good cricket today. We gave too many runs in the last three overs and it cost us the game. The hospitality has been very good and I loved my time here in Sri Lanka."
Player of the T20I series: Harshitha Madavi

04:17 PM IST: Time for the post-match presentation.
04:08 PM IST: There it is. Sri Lanka Women beat Bangladesh Women by 44 runs to win the third T20I and seal the series with a 2-1 margin. After losing the first game, the hosts bounced back brilliantly and won the next two games convincingly to win the series. All smiles in the Lankan camp as they complete a dominant performance in the decider today.

Bangladesh Women didn’t have the best of starts to the chase of 159 as they lost Rubya Haider on a duck in the second over. Fargana Hoque along with Sobhana Mostary tried to resurrect the innings but the former was dismissed on 10. Mostary looked good at the crease and hit two boundaries and as many sixes before departing on 30.

The hosts bowled beautifully in the middle overs and Bangladesh Women kept falling behind the required run rate. Sri Lanka Women kept picking wickets at regular intervals and didn’t allow Bangladesh Women to get away. Nigar Sultana top-scored with 31 for the visitors but it wasn’t enough as they finished their innings on 114/7 to lose the game by 44 runs. Udeshika Prabodhani, Kawya Kavindi and Inoka Ranaweera picked up two wickets apiece for Sri Lanka.

Chamari Athapaththu won the toss and had no hesitation in batting first. Vishmi Gunaratne (2) fell early and Athapaththu along with Harshitha Madavi started the recovery work. Athapaththu came out all guns blazing and scored 32 off 23 balls before departing in the seventh over. Anushka Sanjeewani was dismissed on four. Nilakshi de Silva joined Madavi and started building a partnership for the hosts.

Madavi and de Silva kept finding boundaries at regular intervals and kept Bangladesh Women at bay. Both played very good shots as they pounced on anything loose. Madavi brought up her fifty and de Silva teed off in the end. She brought up her maiden T20I fifty and hit 24 runs in the final over against Jahanara Alam to power her side to 158/3 at the end of their 20 overs. Madavi (51*) and de Silva (63*) put up a solid 102-run stand for the third wicket to help their side post a competitive total on the board. Their bowlers then bowled beautifully to defend it successfully.

Stick around for the presentations.
