Player Bio

The mysterious leg-spinner from Khulna, Fahima Khatun is one of the secret weapons for the Tigresses who has shown her class at the highest of levels.

After a string of impressive performances in the domestic structure for Khulna and Barisal, she went on to make her international debut against India in a T20 match on April 5th, 2013 and her ODI debut came three days later against the same opponent. On her T20I debuts, she scalped the Indian opener as her maiden International wicket and has never looked back since.

Fahima became the first cricketer to take a T20 hat-trick when she took her best bowling figure 4/8 against UAE as they collapsed for just 39 runs. She became a regular in the national team after her splendid show in the 2018 Women’s Asia Cup where the Tigresses went to win their maiden title beating the defending champions India.

Having played over 50 T20Is, Fahima has not been as consistent in the ODIs striking just seven wickets in 14 matches. While she excels in bowling, her batting talent is impressive as well making her a profound all-rounder and a few quickfire innings in T20Is have proved her significance in the squad.
