Milestone
That's it from our side today. We got to witness some nerve-wracking moments today. Do join us tomorrow for the three quarter finals scheduled and it definitely guarantees some fireworks! Until then this is Shubham Agarwal logging off along with Wali Siddiqui, Vikhyat Jain, and Ashok Dyama.

Goodnight and cheers!!
Shane Snater shows some nerves and hits the maximum! Woww.

Essex have won the match by 2 wickets and become the first semi-finalists of the T20 Blast 2023!!

Essex started off brilliantly, bringing up 50 in 4.3 overs! Rossington(21 off 11) and Walter(27 off 15) played some crucial cameos. But it was Daniel Lawrence (62 off 49) who played one blinder of an innings and single-handedly carried his team today! Simon Harmer(19 off 15) played yet another crucial cameo and stayed almost till the end.

Dominic Drakes and Jake Lintott took a couple of wickets each for Warwickshire.

Coming to the first innings, Warwickshire scored 167/7 in their 20 overs courtesy of some late hits by Benjamin and Dominic Drakes(23 off 13). They lost Yates for a duck but Glenn Maxwell(32 off 23) and Sam Hain(52 off 36) made sure their team reaches a fighting total.
Sam Cook took 2 wickets for Essex and Harmer(4-20-1)  was their most economical bowler today.
19.5 O Hannon-Dalby to S Snater
6 SIX!!!!!! And Snater has won it for his team. Jubilation for Essex and heartbreak for the Bears as they are knocked out of the tournament. Full ball at the stumps, Snater swings at it and sends it downtown for a six. Essex have won a thriller here by 2 wickets
3 runs off 2 balls!! How did Essex end up here after starting so so well?!!
19.4 O Hannon-Dalby to A Beard
1 Another slower from the good length around off, Beard was early into his shot and chips it just over the short mid-wicket fielder for a single
Things are getting tense out there. Loads of discussions as four runs are now needed off three deliveries!
19.3 O Hannon-Dalby to A Beard
0 A crucial dot ball and now 4 from 3 balls required. Clever and deceptive slower from Dalby. Short around off and Beard fails to pick it as he misses it to the keeper
19.2 O Hannon-Dalby to S Snater
1 Another single and this is getting tense now. Short at the stumps, Snater looking to loft it downtown gets an edge over the keeper to the third man for a single
19.1 O Hannon-Dalby to A Beard
1 Short around off, Beard swivels and pulls it to the deep square leg for a single. 5 off 5 required now

18.6 D Drakes to S Harmer
W GONE!!!!! What a turnaround of events this has been. A few balls back the crowd was seen leaving the stadium and the game swung like a pendulum here in the favour of the Bears out of nowhere. Harmer pushes this back to the bowler from the bottom half of the bat and responds to his partner's call. After hitting Drakes on his away, he was way too short of his crease
18.5 D Drakes to S Harmer
0 Shortish length around off, Harmer comfortably taps it to the off side for no run. This is a really good over from Drakes
18.4 D Drakes to S Snater
1 On the good length and Snater puts bat to it and runs for it. Direct hit would have caused him trouble
18.3 D Drakes to S Snater
0 On the good length and Snater dances down to heave it through the on side but misses it by a decent margin
18.2 D Drakes to S Snater
0 On the good lengths at the stumps, Snater turns it to the short mid wicket fielder who is in for saving a single.
