Bio
A tall, lanky seam bowler, Oliver James Hannon-Dalby is a professional English cricketer for Warwickshire who made his debut for Yorkshire County in May 2008 at the tender age of 17. After making his debut, he had to wait for two years to get another game under his belt and made an immediate impact, picking up two five-wicket hauls against Warwickshire and Somerset in 2010.
Since his arrival from Yorkshire in 2013, Hannon-Dalby helped the Bears win the T20 Blast in 2014 and the Royal London One-Day Cup in 2016 before receiving his county cap in 2019. The 32-year seamer established himself as one of the leading domestic red-ball bowlers scalping 69 wickets in the last two seasons.
After a string of stellar performances with the ball in 2020, he claimed the Player of the Year award at the Warwickshire’s end of the season awards ceremony. Hannon-Dalby was also rewarded with a contract extension that will see him at the club until the end of the 2023 season. Still a few cricketing years left in him, he would be looking forward to reaching some new milestones and leading the young bowling department of the club with boatloads of experience.
