That's it from this game. Switch tabs to watch the next game in the Hundred between Oval Invincibles up against Welsh Fire from the Oval. You can also catch the second T20I between West Indies and India from Guyana where the hosts are aiming to go 2-0 ahead against India. Lots happening in our network across formats.

For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Anirudh Modi alongside scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Matthew Short | Match Hero: "I had a good start out there with the bat, few nerves before the first game but happy how things turned out. You don't always get what you want but grateful for the opportunity here. Not so much turn in the first innings, the curators have done a fantastic job, it was pretty dry out there but it spun more in the second innings. Pretty unfortunate for Lythie but hope he comes back soon to bat at the top order.

I didn't actually know that, the ball was coming on nicely and tried to use the wind to my advantage. I was pretty confident early on, and it was coming on nicely. Being part of the IPL helped me massively, I had to be patient and different kind of pressure there, learning different type of coaches and playing conditions.

The lads and coaching staff are great, we gel pretty well and we hope to go all the way. Plenty of practice the last couple of days and gym sessions, get a bit of fitness on game days, specially fielding on the boundaries."
9:58 PM IST, 5:28 PM Local Time: A comprehensive win for Northern Superchargers as they win this game comfortably by 60 runs to get two more points here. The first innings batting literally sealed it and Brave were always behind the game and did well to finish with 141/5 but fell way short in the end chasing 200+ as it was a daunting task.

Chasing a target of 202 for an improbable win, Southern Brave tried to get going but caved under pressure. Devon Conway scored 15 off 16 balls. Finn Allen scored 10 off 5 balls. Skipper James Vince scored 33 off 27 balls. du Plooy scored 28 off 24 balls. Tim David provided late entertainment and scored a very good 40 off 19 balls. But it was a bridge too far in the end as Brave ended with 141/5 in 100 balls. 3 extras were given by the fielding side.

All the Superchargers bowlers bowled well. Reece Topley picked up 3 wickets for 30 runs in 20 balls. Skipper Wayne Parnell picked up a wicket and finished with 1/30 in 20 balls. Adil Rashid also had a wicket to his name as he finished with 1/29 in 20 balls. The rest of the bowlers did their job and had enough runs in the bank.

Earlier in the game, Northern Superchargers were put into bat first by Southern Brave. What we were treated to was the Matthew Short show as he tore apart the Brave bowling line up by scoring 73 off 36 balls and set the game up. Tom Banton opened the batting with Short and was a mere spectator. He was scratchy but got to a good 44 off 34 balls. Harry Brook came in at 3 and scored a breath-taking 63 off 27 balls and finished the innings off in style. Adam Hose was unbeaten on 7* off 4 balls as Northern Superchargers ended with 201/3 in 100 balls. 13 extras were given by the fielding side.

It was a hard day at the office for the Southern Brave bowlers. Rehan Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up a wicket and gave away only 21 runs in 20 balls. Tymal Mills picked up a wicket and gave away 36 runs in 20 balls. There was a run out in the innings as well. The others went wicketless and were taken to the cleaners. A hard day in the office for them.

So, a win by 60 runs for Northern Superchargers as they climb upwards in the points table. Stick around to see who is the Hero of the Match.

94b R Topley to T David
W WICKET! CAUGHT! And this time the fielder does not make a mistake! It's an excellent catch in the deep! Length delivery, on the stumps, David pulls it high in the air and Brook has come running in at deep backward square to take a diving catch and complete the dismissal!
93b R Topley to T David
0 Full length delivery, outside the off stump, goes for a big heave but gets an inside edge to drop short of the keeper.

92b R Topley to T David
2 DROPPED! We have seen some shabby work in the field from both sides! Good length delivery, on the stumps, heaved straight down the throat of the fielder at deep mid-wicket who fumbles in a major way to let David survive!
