That’s a wrap from our side as well. I hope you enjoyed our live coverage. India won the first match of the South Africa Women's T-20 tri-series. We appreciate your participation from all across the world.

On behalf of my co-commentator Ninaad Dixit and Scorer/Analyst Ashok Dayma, I, Deepak Prakash, am signing off. Please join us for the other fixtures across the world. Until then, Ta-Ta, Bye-Bye.✌✌
Amanjot Kaur: "I was very happy I was contributing towards the team. I never thought I would be playing like this but I got the opportunity and I grabbed it. I was just thinking of getting runs for the team because it was my debut so I was thinking of winning this game, that happened so I am happy. Deepti calmed my nerves as I was very excited as it was my debut so she was saying to just take single and time the ball, don't try to hit hard and that was very helpful to me."
Amanjot Kaur is the player of the match.
Smriti Mandhana (India Captain): "We discussed the necessity to display our character before the game, and the team delivered on that promise. Amanjot and Deepti's partnership demonstrated that. Then, on this surface, our bowlers completed their tasks. With the start we had, we had planned to reach 120–130, but thanks to their batting, we were able to score an additional 15 runs. It is turning, the surface is dry, and our spinners thought they could handle the task, according to our batters."
Sune Luus (South Africa Captain): "It was our first game back in seven months. It was good to get out there and get hold of the conditions. Its still a long way to go in the tri series. I think we pulled it back nicely, a couple of early wickets, we just need to tighten up the death overs, we lost it there for a bit and Deepti played a good innings at the end.

It was like playing India in India tonight. It was a good challenge for us. We always knew they were gonna throw lot of spinners at us. We just wanted to execute our plans. One or two batters in the end, I think we are just 28 runs short. If Chloe Tryon or Kappie or myself was in there, 28 runs could have been easily gotten so small margins but still a long way to go in the series."
1:27 AM IST | Deepak: An all-round performance from Deepti Sharma first with the bat and now with the ball helped India to win the match easily. India Women thumped South Africa Women by 27 runs.🙌🙌

After being invited to bat first, India Women posted a challenging total of 147 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. The team was struggling at 69/5 in the 12th over, but a brilliant partnership of 76 runs for the sixth wicket between the experienced Deepti Sharma and debutant Amanjot Kaur helped India post a 147-run total from the critical situation.

In pursuit of India’s 147 runs, South Africa Women got off to a shaky start, as they lost their experienced openers Laura Wolvaardt and Anneke Bosch early on in the innings. Marizanne Kapp and Sune Luus tried to steady the ship, but their progress was halted when Marizanne Kapp departed for 22 runs off 22 balls. Sune Luus was rotating the strike sensibly, but she lost her wicket in a miscommunication between the wickets and departed for 29 runs off 30 balls. The Proteas ultimately fell short, being restricted to 120 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.

Deepti Sharma was the pick of the bowlers for India, as she scalped 3 wickets and gave away 30 runs in 4 overs. Devika Vaidya chipped in with a couple of wickets, and Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Sneh Rana, and Radha Yadav contributed one wicket each. The Indian team put on a solid performance, with some impressive individual performances, and deservedly emerged victorious in this nail-biting match.

Stay tuned for the presentations....
