1.50 AM IST: Nottinghamshire beats Durham by 4 wickets. Nottinghamshire started their innings with Alex Hales and Joe Clarke,
both played in aggressive mode and put up 53 runs on the board for the 1st
wicket in 4.2 overs.
After that Trevaskis removed Alex Hales, as he tried for a big hit but was caught in the deep midwicket region and Hales also departed scoring 26. Nottinghamshire
scored 67 runs and lost 1 wicket in the powerplay.
Then Ben Duckett joined Joe Clarke as they both settled in the middle
and put up a partnership of 55 runs for the 2nd wicket. Clarke completed a half-century and went off at 51, as he stepped out and
tried for big hit but mistimed and was caught at mid-off. It was a great catch from Turner
as he ran backwards and completed the catch.
Afterwards, James and Moores played some good
shots and scored 20 and 16 runs respectively. On the other end, Ben Duckett completed his
fifty and was unbeaten at 53 in 34 balls. From the Durham side, Nathan Sowter picked 3 wickets.
Trevaskis picked up 2 wickets as Tye finished with a single wicket to his name.
Earlier, Durham managed a score of 183 for the loss
of 8 wickets in their 20 overs. Durham skipper Ashton Turner called it
right at the toss and decided to bat first. Durham top order batsmen failed to
give a good start as they lost 2 wickets scoring 42 runs in the powerplay.
Michael Jones did the bulk of scoring playing a tidy knock of 41
off 36 deliveries with three fours and a six. The skipper Ashton Turner was
looking good but got dismissed for a well-made 33 off 18 deliveries.
In
the last 5 overs, some great hitting from Brydon Carse, Ned Eckersley, Ben Raine, and Andrew Tye propelled the score to 183 runs in 20 overs. From Nottinghamshire's side, Steven Mullaney was the stand-out performer with the ball and finished
with 3 wickets and Jake Ball also bowled well and took 3 wickets. James
finished with 1 wicket.
