So that's goodbye from me, Anurag, and my partner Arijit from the comm box. Do join us tomorrow for TNPL and The Hundred fixtures in the evening. Good night and take care!!
Samit Patel: It was pretty good, we restricted them really well [with the ball]. The batters got off to a good start and we kept going. Play strong shots and be positive. We targeted the ten balls from this end and try to kill the game which worked well in our favour. Good to get some momentum with 4 wins out of 5 games.
The Hero of the Match is Samit Patel for his blistering knock of 46 unbeaten from 20 balls.
Time for the post-match presentation.
Rockets started the chase and lost D’Arcy Short cheaply inside the powerplay. Malan and Hales resurrected the chase after the powerplay and shifted gears once they got set. Malan's short cameo was ended by the Afghani leggie and the game was back in balance. Qais was excellent tonight with his short spells. He picked up the massive wicket of Hales just before the death. Samit Patel came in and played a crucial rapid-fire knock of 46 unbeaten and was well-supported by his partner, Gregory who was struggling to middle the ball but he soon found the rhythm and played a decent cameo at the end to finish things off with Samet Patel in style.
Excellent death bowling from Wahab Riaz. Welsh Fire were well below par here. They could not get going from the start as they lost their top three cheaply. Phillips and du Plooy steadied the innings and stitched a 50+ stand for the fourth wicket, the former even got to his fifty but failed to see the innings through. Rockets seemed to be pretty happy with their work, particularly at the death, but 140 may still take some getting. Wahab Riaz finished with figures of 4 for 30 and that spell put his team in an authoritative position after the first innings.
And with that, we come to the conclusion of the 20th match of The Hundred Men's competition. It has been a masterful chase by the Rockets., thanks to a gem of a knock from Samit Patel scoring 46 unbeaten off 20 deliveries to see them through.

6 Finishes things in style. Samit Patel!! Bow down before the veteran. Patel has extracted the victory in no time for the Trent Rockets. Low fulltoss from the bowler and the batsman drills it up and over the long on region for a maximum. poor bowling from the bowler and the inexperience is completely exposed.
89b M Milnes to L Gregory
1 Full and slow, the batsman whips it across the line for a single down deep square leg.
89b M Milnes to L Gregory
WD Another wide, a similar wide. Milne under the pump.
89b M Milnes to L Gregory
WD A wide going away from the tramline at offstump region.
He seems to be in a hurry.
88b M Milnes to L Gregory
4 Slower one kept quite wider of the reach of Gregory. The batsman manages to bat in time and slashes this one over point for a boundary.
Singh: Finally Gregory has middled one and it lands just over the ropes.
87b M Milnes to L Gregory
6 This is big. OH it's gone over the ropes this time. Fuller one in the arc and the batsman flicks it over the deep square leg region for a six. Great wrists from the batsman as the skipper takes his team towards the victory mark.
86b M Milnes to L Gregory
2 Fulltoss wider outside the offstump line and the batsman thumps it over the bowler for a double. Neesham sprints from long on and dives forward to save a couple of runs.
