That brings us to the end of our live coverage of Qualifier 1 of the Uttar Pradesh T20. For now, it's the pair of Soumarya Dutta and Arjun Bhalla taking your leave on behalf of our Scorer/Analyst Yogesh Kumar. See you soon!
Rituraj Sharma (Player of the Match): "I was looking to play an impactful knock for my team. There is one more game to go, and I would like to play another good knock there. I look to play the situation and bat in the best way possible for my team. In the absence of Rinku Bhai, the pressure is on the batting side and I wanted to deliver in such a situation."
Player of the Match: Rituraj Sharma
Madhav Kaushik - "I thought 160 plus would have been a good total but the way we bowled in the powerplay turned out to be the difference. We knew that the game would be tight but we were also ready to grab on to those little chances that can change the course of the game.

I kept telling the boys to keep believing and that's how we can go into the finals. It was important for us to remain calm and execute our plans well."
Perfect Grip Catch of the Match: Sameer Choudhary
Super Striker of the Match: Rituraj Sharma
Valuable Dots of the Match: Vijay Kumar
Time for Post-Match Presentation
Priyam Garg (Losing Captain): There was no pressure to chase, but the wicket was tricky. I think we gave 7-10 runs extra when they were batting. I tried to hold through the innings, but my dismissal was crucial. Nevertheless, we will come harder tomorrow (in Qualifier 2)."
18:28 IST and Local Time- The Meerut Mavericks have clinched this game by 9 runs and this has been a thrilling contest. The Lucknow Falcons seemed to have the game under control with 22 runs needed of two overs but they faltered and lost their way in the middle. They lost a heap of wickets as the tail collapsed under pressure and they were eventually all out for 144 in 19.5 overs.

The Lucknow Falcons lost an early wicket of Samarth Singh and that put them under pressure as the bowlers built up the pressure. Harsh Tyagi and Priyam Garg took their time early on and the attempt was to create a partnership. The powerplay belonged to the Mavericks as they kept the squeeze on the batters.

The Falcons could only muster 55 runs from the first 10 overs post which the acceleration finally came. Zeeshan Ansari started with an expensive over where he gave away 15 runs but the breakthrough came for the Mavericks as  they picked up the scalp of Tyagi who was cleaned up. It was followed by the wicket of Kritagya Singh who was trapped in front of the stumps.

Priyam Garg launched an assault on the bowlers and took the score past hundred. However he fell soon afterwards as the Lucknow Falcons were in some trouble. Parv Singh did well though and stitched up a partnership with Sameer Choudhary to give them a chance heading into the final phase of the game.

However the spin duo of Zeeshan Ansari and Yash Garg made a stunning comeback as they ran through the tail to clinch the game in the end for the Meerut Mavericks. The bowlers lived up to the expectations of their skipper and clinched what seemed to be a nerve wrecking contest in the end.
