Nigam's first-class debut came on October 11, 2024, when Uttar Pradesh faced Bengal at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. In that match, he showcased his bowling prowess by taking four wickets for 81 runs, marking a notable start to his career.

In List A cricket, Nigam made his debut against Mizoram on December 23, 2024, at the Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. Meanwhile, his T20 debut occurred on November 27, 2024, when Uttar Pradesh faced Manipur in Mumbai.

Nigam's performances have not gone unnoticed.
