That's it from the first game of the day on this double header on Super Sunday. Join us soon for the second game of the day starting very shortly. Till then, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Soumarya Dutta alongside scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodbye and CHEERS!

Yes, a lot to learn from others and nice preparation for white ball games. Yes, Simarjeet Bhaiya helps us a lot and helps me to do well. Thank You sir."
Player of the Match: Himanshu Chauhan.
Himmat Singh(East Delhi Riders Captain) - "I'm really happy. We got the dream start as the bowlers did really well. There was some help from the wicket and the bowlers kept bowling the Test match like lines. They're all experienced guys and they did well. I'm personally satisfied with the platform that DPL has provided us with. We were waiting for it for a long time and it has finally happened. "
Most Valuable Player of the Match: Himmat Singh.
Super Striker of the Match: Himmat Singh.

Puneet Sharma (East Delhi Riders Owner): "I think it is an exciting game of cricket with the Delhi Premier League. The boys played well. The bowlers have done well to restrict them to a low score and then Anuj and Himmat finished things off in style. This is a new team for us and we look to do well and hope to be there in finals in September. Just love watching cricket and love the Indian Cricket Team. Cricket unites the nation. Certainly will enjoy the win with the teammates."
17:16 IST and Local Time- The East Delhi Riders are off and running in this years Delhi Premier League. They've crushed the Central Delhi Kings by 10 wickets. It was a rain curtailed game and they clinched it inside 4.1 overs. Himmat Singh and Anuj Rawat made light work of the 62 runs that they needed for victory. Rawat remained unbeaten on 25 from 12 balls and Himmat Singh remained unbeaten on 31 from 13 balls.

62 was never going to be a tough ask and the pair of Himmat Singh and Anuj Rawat went for the kill right from the very first over of the innings. Grewal gave away 14 runs from the first over and it looked impossible for the Central Delhi side to make a comeback from there onwards.

Himmat Singh showed his class as he struck a plethora of boundaries and also picked up a few maximums. Anuj Rawat took his time initially but he too launched an assault and poor Money Grewal was at the receiving end of it. He went for 33 runs of his two overs as the East Delhi Riders got to 49 from the powerplay.
4.1 J Sidhu to H Singh
1 Fuller length around off, Himmat pushes it to short covers for a quick single to end the contest. Himmat with the winning runs as East Delhi Riders win this game by 10 wickets with plenty of overs to spare to get themselves going in this tournament.
