Earlier in the day, Nottinghamshire were put into bat and they batted brilliantly in a really good surface at Headingley. Nottinghamshire lost an early wicket but they kept going with the momentum as they posted a massive total on the board in the 1st Innings.
Contributions from Freddie McCann (48 off 32), Sam King (44 off 25), Jack Haynes (50 off 21) and Tom Moores (30 off 16) helped Nottinghamshire post up a massive score of 209/9 in their 20 overs.
Yorkshire did not bowl well to be honest, they leaked a lot of runs at the death. Benjamin Cliff (4/31) and Jordan Thompson (3/44) were the pick of the bowlers for Yorkshire. They required to chase down 210 runs in their 20 overs in order to have a chance for qualification in the Quarter Finals of the T20 Blast 2024.
In reply, Yorkshire had to get off to a flying start but they ended up losing 3 wickets inside the powerplay. Since then they were always behind the game as the require run rate was climbing up as the Innings progressed.
