That's it from the coverage of Qualifier 2 of TNPL 2024. Lyca Kovai Kings will face off against Dindigul Dragons in the grand finale on Sunday August 4th. Do join us for that game and for all other fixtures from around the world, stay tuned to our network. For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Saptak Sanyal alongside scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Ravichandran Ashwin (Dindigul Dragons Captain): "Yes very good feeling. It was a clinical game and hope we do well in the final. It was taxing. The effort was there from everyone. The boys played well and giving it all for their game. We had to chase it down. It was a professional display and the boys did well. Coming into the tournament, I opened. Hamstring is struggling but it's going well and healed. Shivam was away for five minutes and had to stay outside the ground. But he will be available for the final. You don't want injuries at this stage for sure as that might hamper the team. Looking forward to the final now."
P Vignesh(Player of the Match): "We had a lot of interactions with Ashwin and that's why we were clear about our roles. We sticked to the process and everything went good. Things were kept very normal by our management and that was a big plus."

Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore(iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans Captain): "Overall season have been fantastic. There's a lot of talent in the group. We lost the momentum in the starting of this contest. It was a 160-180 run wicket. I played with Ash since a long time, he has been an inspiration. I think Tushar Raheja is a fantastic player, he has had a great season. There's Amith Sathvik and Radhakrishnan too who can step up. These are the guys who are going to serve the Tamil Nadu cricket.

Good luck to Lyca Kovai Kings and Dindigul Dragons."
9:57 PM IST and Local Time: Ravichandran Ashwin finishes things off in style with two back-to-back sixes as Dindigul Dragons have thrashed the iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans by 9 wickets with 55 balls to spare and they march onto the final. The Tamizhans have been totally outplayed tonight in Chennai.

Chasing a paltry target of 109 for the win, it was the Ravichandran Ashwin show as the captain was not messing around and opened the batting tonight. He stayed unbeaten on 69* off 30 balls and showed his class out there with innovative shots. Vimal Khumar supported him initially and scored 28 off 27 balls. Baba Indrajith was there with Ashwin at the other end, but it was the skipper who stole the show as the target was achieved in 10.5 overs.

The bowlers went all over the place defending a paltry score. Only P Bhuvaneswaran picked up the solitary wicket to fall. The rest were taken to the cleaners.

Earlier in the game, iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans were put into bat first by Dindigul Dragons. They never got going and lost wickets at regular intervals. Amith Sathvik scored 16. S Ganesh scored 17 off 16 balls. Maan K Bafna came in as an impact player and scored 26 off 19 balls and was the top scorer for them. Ramalingam Rohit scored 14 off 14 at the end. 6 extras given by the fielding side.

P Vignesh was the pick of the bowlers for Dindigul Dragons as he finished with figures of 3/8 in 4 overs. A couple of wickets apiece for Varun Chakaravarthy and Subodh Bhati. Sandeep Warrier and Ravichandran Ashwin picked up a wicket apiece as well. An all-round bowling display from the Dragons.

So, Dindigul Dragons are through to the finals of TNPL 2024. Stay tuned for the presentations.
10.5 P Bhuvaneswaran to R Ashwin
6 Skipper finishes things off in style to take the Dragons to the final!!! Length delivery outside of the off stump. Ashwin gets the room and he heaves it towards long-on. The fielder hops up there but the ball eludes him. Ravichandran Ashwin stays unbeaten on 69!
