That's it from our coverage of match number 48 in the Indian Premier League. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Akshay Bhide and Sidharth Gulati and scorers Manish Bishnoi and Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Marcus Stoinis (Player of the Match): "Nice bowling with the new ball. I can release and shoot the ball in the air which brings in a new dimension. I do think we have probably pushed to go a bit faster. We build those partnerships, but it could have been easier.

It was a drag down, the ball stuck in the wicket. After batting for a while I wanted to put them under pressure but disappointing to get out and leave it to someone else.

Its my 3rd year. Fortunate enough to be there from day 1 at LSG. Playing group is pretty similar. We are playing good cricket, we are in the top 4. Everything is good."
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: Marcus Stoinis
KL Rahul (Lucknow Super Giants Captain): "A little bit, I won't lie. But we had batsmen in the middle. Experienced batters like Pooran and Krunal were in the middle and we were confident.

The wicket was dry. But if they had put 160-170, it would have been competitive. But we bowled really well. Our bowlers kept picking regular wickets and made the job easier for the batters.

I mean obviously happy when you get those two points. We need to get some things right. At the back end, you want to get the momentum. If we can fix those things, it will be great to get that momentum and carry it forward.

I haven't spoken with him (Mayank Yadav). After picking the wicket, he held the same area. Not a side strain but he said 'thoda dukh raha hai'. So I said go out and rest because we don't want to take the risk.

In this game, he showed that he has more skills than only bowling 150+. The more he plays, he will learn. He will learn what to bowl in different situations. Right now, it's a free hand for him to bowl and as he plays enough matches, he will learn."

Time for the post-match presentation...
STAT ATTACK: This is the first time that a chasing side has emerged victorious in five MI vs LSG clashes.
Justin Langer (Lucknow Super Giants Head Coach): "What a learning in this competition. Every game is hard and vital. Lovely getting 2 points against MI.

Always looking to take wickets in the powerplay, when you do that you are always ahead in the game. We took those early wickets and that set us up nicely.

Looks like Mayank is sore in the same spot. His rehab was perfect, he bowled pain free in the last week or so, looked in great condition. We'll have a scan and will have a look tomorrow.

Marcus Stoinis has been a real match winner. Took a good catch early as well. Shows his presence at the top of the order that we demanded after the initial games. He is a real match winner and they are crucial in IPL if you want to be progressing.

As I said, every win in this tough tournament is not easy. Every point is crucial. It's very tight in IPL, just like the World Cup. We have to take those points tonight after a disappointing last game. Proud of the way the team played."
Hardik Pandya (Mumbai Indians Captain): ā€œDefinitely, I think losing early wickets in the powerplay is always tough to recover from. We needed the most today and we couldnā€™t do well.

You still have to see the ball and hit. The wicket was good. We didnā€™t lose wickets in trying to hit the ball too hard. Thatā€™s been kind of season so far.

I have always believe that every time you take the field, there will be ups and downs but you look to fight. Every game you play, you want to fight and win. It looks difficult but there are a lot of things you can learn from.

Nehal has been fantastic. The way he batted against Rajasthan and today as well, he has been fantastic. He did well even in the last year. Just because of the team combination, he didnā€™t get enough chance. But he is going to be important for us as well as for India."
23:24 IST and Local Time | That's it. Lucknow Super Giants keep their cool and win again at home. Credit to their bowlers' all-round display, and Marcus Stoinis' useful half-century as they clinch a thrilling four-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians, who suffer their seventh defeat. Their chances of making the final-four are bleak.

Chasing a target of 145, LSG were off to a poor start as they lost Arshin Kulkarni, featuring in his maiden IPL game, for a golden duck. KL Rahul, the LSG skipper, and Stoinis then led the recovery and kept their side on track with a half-century stand. Rahul hit 28 before being dismissed by Pandya. Stoinis and Deepak Hooda then got a partnership going, and that covered a good part of the chase. LSG lost a few wickets towards the end, but Nicholas Pooran held his nerves to finish it off in the final over.

Earlier, after opting to field, LSG were splendid with the new ball. Mohsin Khan and Stoinis removed Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav, respectively, cheaply. Things got worse for the tourists when they lost Tilak Varma and Pandya off back-to-back deliveries. MI were reeling at 28/4 at the end of the powerplay. Ishan Kishan and Nehal Wadhera then stabilized MIā€™s innings with a fifty-plus stand. Kishan, who was dropped early in his innings by debutant Ashton Turner off Mayank Yadav's bowling, made a scratchy 32 off 36 balls before falling to Ravi Bishnoi. Wadhera then hit a few boundaries, but an impressive yorker by Mohsin cleaned up the set batter. Tim David's cameo towards the end ensured MI ended with 144/7. A top bowling performance by LSG, and later their batters sealed the deal with four balls remaining.
19.2 M Nabi to N Pooran
1 Single and that's it. LSG complete a four-wicket win over MI and move up the table. The hosts hold their nerve to register their sixth victory this season. The visitors, on the other hand, succumb to their seventh defeat and have further complicated their chances for a playoff spot. Low full-toss, drifting in on middle, Pooran makes room, gets down on one knee, goes for the loft over mid-off, but mistimes, still manages to get the elevation, and even goes over the fielder at the mentioned position, enough for the batters to steal a run and get their team over the line.
SCORES LEVEL! Acres of space available in the leg side. Pooran keeps his nerve.
19.1 M Nabi to N Pooran
2 Scores level. Around the wicket, 91.3 kph, tossed up, full, drifting in, around leg, Pooran looks to push at it, but it strikes the inner half of the bat, rolls towards deep mid-wicket for a couple of runs.
Only a miraculous over can save MI here. They are 7 minutes behind in the innings timer. Only allowed 4 fielders outside the inner ring for MI in the last over. Mohammad Nabi is tasked with defending 3 runs!
