11:08 IST and 10:38 PM Local Time | A comfortable victory for West Indies Women
against Pakistan Women in the final T20I game.
Having won the toss and elected to bowl, Pakistan started off their
Innings with the bat brilliantly. Sidra Amin and Ayesha Zafar got their Innings
off to a decent start as they scored 44 runs in the powerplay by losing just
one wicket. The cameo knock of Muneeba Ali accelerated their Innings but since
her departure, the collapse happened for Pakistan again as they kept losing
wickets at regular intervals and Pakistan were restricted to 134/8 in their 20
overs which looked 10-15 runs short in this wicket. Sidra Ameen was the leading run scorer for Pakistan who scored 48 off 52
balls. Afy Fletcher was the pick off the bowlers for West Indies as she picked
3 wickets of 17 runs.
In Reply, West Indies started off their run chase watchfully in the powerplay. They lost the wicket of Rashada Williams cheaply as she was dismissed for 16 off 11 balls. Since that dismissal, the consistent duo of Hayley Matthews and Shemaine Campbellle got together and added a 103 runs partnership which took the game completely away from Pakistan. Captain Hayley Matthews was dismissed at the 18th over after playing yet another fine knock of 78 off 59 balls. Shemaine Campbelle remained unbeaten of 33 off 35 deliveries and got her side over the line. Pakistan wasn't able to pick wickets in the 2nd Innings and it was a comfortable chase for the Windies tonight.
So, West Indies Women have dominated the entire series and have ended the T20I Series winning it 4-1.
