So, that also brings an end to our coverage of the 2nd T20I between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. For now, this is me Hiren Kumar signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Pritam Dey, Sourmaya Dutta and scorer/analyst Bishal Mandal. CHEERS!!
Najmul Hossain Shanto (Bangladesh Captain) - "The bowlers did really well and we can't really control the rain. It's not easy for the batters but we need to manage these things as well. There are a lot of areas where we can improve. Zimbabwe did well in the middle overs and our bowlers can improve in that aspect. Tanzid and Litton gave us a great start with a 40 run opening stand. Looking forward to the next game at this venue and then we go to Dhaka."
Towhid Hridoy (Player of the Match): “No it wasn’t easy but I was focusing on how to finish off the match for my team. I just wanted to play according to the situation of demand and try to execute myself in the game. I really enjoyed finishing off the game for the team.”

Sikandar Raza (Zimbabwe Captain): "Yes, our top order has been poor but credit to the middle and lower middle order to take us to around 140. It has been the same story for us. We need to learn going forward. Certainly, the youngsters in the middle order are our future and it is our duty to groom them. It is not the runs for me but it is the brand of cricket that we play. To be honest, our bowlers did well. Rain made our job tough because of the wet ball. The fielding could be better. Hopefully, we get everything sorted going into the next one."
Welcome to the post match presentation.
21:28 IST and 21:58 Local time - Mahmadullah finishes off in style and Bangladesh go 2-0 up in the series! They win by six wickets and it was a rather easy run chase in the end. They had a brief stutter in the middle when they lost some wickets and the rain interrupted proceedings thrice but in the end, it was the veteran Riyad and the youngster Hridoy, that saw them off to a great victory with a crucial 49 run partnership.

Bangladesh got off to a really good start initially with Litton Das taking on the bowling. Tanzid Hasan gave him good company too and the pair put on 41 for the first wicket within the powerplay. The great start was spoiled by Ndlovu who picked up the wicket of Tanzid who was dismissed courtesy a great catch from Bennet. It brought Shanto in the middle and Zimbabwe managed to bring the run rate down and build up the pressure for a while.

The weather gods played a real spoilsport with as many as three rain related disruptions in the middle and it caused some damage to Bangladesh's momentum. Luke Jongwe made use of it as he struck twice in one over before the rain came down again to stop the proceedings at the end of the 10th over. Bangladesh were behind at that stage according to the DLS par score.

The Zimbabwean bowlers fought hard for the greater part of the game but in the end, they didn't have enough runs on the board. Luke Jongwe picked up two wickets early on but he was really expensive in his final over, which proved to be the turning point in the game. Richard Ngarava also picked up a wicket as did the spinner Ndlovu.
An boundary to seal the victory. Bangladesh are 2-0 up in the 5-match series and the visitors are yet to taste victory on this tour.
18.3 B Muzarabani to M Riyad
4 FOUR! Thats the Winning runs for Bangladesh. Mahmudullah finishes off in style! Pitched up delivery outside off, a lovely cover drive from the veteran Mahmudullah to seal the game for Bangladesh.
An appeal for CAUGHT and BOWLED! It has clearly bumped before touching the boot and that will be NOT OUT!
18.2 B Muzarabani to M Riyad
0 Length ball outside off stump, Mahmudullah wanted to go over the cover, gets an inside edge and back to the bowler. The TV Umpire is checking for a caught and bowled but the ball has clearly bumped into the wicket. Not Out!
18.1 B Muzarabani to M Riyad
0 Full and wide outside the off stump, Mahmudullah goes down the track but the ball is well wide of his reach. Dot ball.
18.1 B Muzarabani to M Riyad
WD WIDE! The scores are level. Banged it short around off stump, its well ahead of the head of the batter, the square leg umpires calls it a Wide.
Blessing Muzarabani comes back into the attack! Bangladesh need only two runs to win now.

0 Banged it short, in the middle stump line, Hridoy pulls it straight to the mid wicket fielder. Dot ball to end the over.
Bangladesh are just one blow away from clinching this game! This has proved to be a rather easy chase in the end courtesy this superb partnership.
17.5 R Ngarava to T Hridoy
6 SIXXX!!  This time is Towhid Hridoy. Slower delivery on the pads, in the slot, Hridoy waits and smashes it over the square leg fence for a maximum. 99 Metres hit.
17.4 R Ngarava to T Hridoy
0 Full toss and a miss from Hridoy. That was a scoring opportunity and he is gutted of himself. Full toss outside off, Hridoy steps down the track and wanted to slice it past point but fails to connect it.
17.3 R Ngarava to T Hridoy
2 Back of a length well outside off stump, Hridoy cuts it over the head of backward point for a couple of runs.
