That's it from the coverage of this game. New Zealand have come up against the odds and now lead the series 2-1 with a game to spare. Both teams will be back in action on the 27th of April at the same venue. Do join us for that game and stick around to our network for all other cricketing actions across the globe and across formats.

For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash alongside scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Michael Bracewell (New Zealand Captain): "Yeah, I think our ability to learn from game to game has been hugely important. You're right; you learn a lot about some of the young guys in your team when you're under pressure at the end. Fortunately, we were able to come out on the right side of it today, and we'll take those learnings forward.

Yeah, I think the Pakistan bowlers bowled particularly well at the death and restricted us to a score that was probably par in the end. It was a nice close game, and the way we got off to a good start with Tim Robinson and Tom Blundell at the top probably put us ahead of the game. However, we weren't quite able to execute and get above that 200 mark at the death. Credit has to go to the Pakistan bowlers for the way they closed out the innings.

Yeah, it's a huge positive for us that we can expose guys to different conditions. T20 is a funny game; sometimes matchups don't quite go our way, and we may not get to bowl our full allotment. However, having an all-rounder like James Neesham in the side is a beauty. We trust him to bowl those tough overs at the end, as he's been doing it for years and he showed his class today by closing out the game. Additionally, Will O'Rourke had a particularly outstanding day with the ball, and I believe our bowling unit's performance in the last five overs was particularly impressive."
Babar Azam (Pakistan Captain): "I think we did well to restrict them with the ball. They looked like getting 190-200. We bowled right lines and lengths to bring the game back and then it was gettable. We lost it with the bat. Losing 4 wickets in the powerplay was crucial. Then Fakhar played well and so did Imad in the end, but I think they bowled well in overs 7 and 10 and we lost wickets.

You can say it was a different pitch. But I think we did well to restrict them and it was gettable but we lost the plot in the end. We are battling injuries as well and trying out various combinations.

Yes, we are trying out combinations and fine tuning ourselves and hope by World Cup time we will find the right combination and do well there. Batting let us down big time."
William O'Rourke (Player of the Match): "I think we really saw them use the slow ball quite frequently. So, we were just trying to mix that in as much as we could and bowl consistently at a length that troubled the batsmen. Hopefully, it worked out.

Yeah, I think the new ball was coming onto the bat nicely. We got off to a good start with the bat. We noticed that their strength was in taking the pace off the ball, which made it difficult for us to score freely. So, we tried to use that.

Yeah, I think we're all learning together at the moment. We come together as a group and discuss what happened. We aim to learn from every match and strive to improve with each one. Yeah, it's been amazing. The crowds are pumped the whole time, very loud out there. It's a very cool experience."
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: WILL O'ROURKE
Outstanding Player of the Match: Ben Sears (2/27)
Best Fielder of the Match: Shadab Khan (A one-handed stunner to dismiss Chapman)
Master Blaster of the Match: Tim Robinson (51 runs off 36 balls)
Time for the post-match presentation....
11:31 PM IST, 11:01 PM Local Time: What a humdinger we have had here in Lahore. The match swung from one team to another but in the end, it was New Zealand who hold their nerves to win the game by 4 runs and take a 2-1 lead in the 5-match series with one match to spare. Huge congratulations to Michael Bracewell and his men as this win means that New Zealand cannot lose the series.

Chasing 179 for the win, Pakistan lost their skipper Babar Azam early. Saim Ayub scored 20 while Usman Khan scored 16. Fakhar Zaman was the star for Pakistan with his 61 off 45 balls. Iftikhar Ahmed scored 23 off 20 balls and Imad Wasim in the end scored 22* off 11 balls and almost got them over the line. But it was not to be as they fell 4 runs short. 13 extras given by the fielding side.

William O'Rourke was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/27 in 4 overs. Ben Sears supported him well with figures of 2/27 in 4 overs. A wicket to skipper Michael Bracewell and James Neesham as well who bowled the crucial final over of the innings.

Earlier in the game, New Zealand were asked to bat first by Babar Azam. They got off to a blazing start courtesy their openers Tim Robinson and Tom Blundell. Blundell scored 28 off 15 balls while Robinson made a very good looking 51 off 36 balls his maiden T20I fifty. Dean Foxcroft scored 34 off 26 balls. James Neesham got 11* off 11 balls while skipper Michael Bracewell scored 27 off 20 balls. 14 extras given by the fielding side as New Zealand ended with 178/7 in 20 overs.

Abbas Afridi was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/20 in 3 overs. A wicket apiece for Mohammad Amir, Zaman Khan, Usama Mir, and Iftikhar Ahmed. No wickets to Imad Wasim while Shadab Khan did not bowl a single over today for some odd reasons. Plenty of thinking to do for Pakistan Cricket Team.

So, New Zealand wins by 4 runs to take a 2-1 lead in the 5-match series with one game to spare in the series. Stay tuned for the presentations.

Neesham holds his nerve in the final ball and New Zealand win by a slender margin of 4 runs to go 2-1 up in the series. What a game of cricket we have witnessed here at Lahore. Some young Pakistani fans are seen with tears in their eyes.
19.6 J Neesham to I Wasim
1 Last ball of the match! New Zealand wins the game! Fuller length wide outside off, Wasim drives it through the point region for a single to the deep point fielder and that will end the game. What a game we have had here and New Zealand it is who hold their nerves to win by 4 runs to take a 2-1 lead in the series with a game to spare.
The long-off was inside the ring and Imad lofts it exactly over the mid-off for a boundary. 6 needed off 1 ball. Mid-off drops to deep now.
19.5 J Neesham to I Wasim
4 FOUR! Fuller length and in the slot, Wasim goes down the ground over mid-off as the ball goes away to the long-off fence for a boundary, Wasim keeps his side Pakistan in the game.
No, no, no, Neesham, you can't bowl a wide ball at this juncture of the game. Pakistan need 10 runs off 2 balls now. Pressure on New Zealand's camp now.
