Pleased to get another good performance and another win. There was a bit of hold and bounce in the wicket, I don't think I've played that many reverse sweeps ever. I was determined to put in a good performance and be there with Kappy at the end is a good feeling.

They beat the upbeat London Spirit Women in the London derby by eight wickets to grab two crucial points. It was a solid all-around effort from them and the Spirit Women have been beaten convincingly here by the Invincibles Women who move up the ladder.
Chasing, 121, the Invincibles Women got off to a steady start. Lauren Winfield-Hill looked good but Chamari Athapaththu struggled to get going. She scored 11 off 19 balls before getting trapped in front of stumps. Winfield-Hill started cutting loose after the powerplay and played some magnificent strokes. She was joined by Alice Capsey who kept rotating the strikes regularly.
Winfield-Hill and Capsey put 41 between them before the latter got cleaned up on 13 in the 12th set. Marizanne Kapp walked out to bat at number four and started positively. Winfield-Hill continued her good work at the other end and brought up her fifty off 32 balls. The Spirit Women failed to create further inroads. Winfield-Hill and Kapp remained unbeaten on 61 and 30 respectively to take their side across the line in the penultimate set.
The Invincibles Women elected to bowl first and got off to a wonderful start. Marizanne Kapp and Rachel Slater dismissed Meg Lanning (0) and Georgia Redmayne (4) respectively as the Spirit Women reeled at 13/2 at the end of the powerplay. Cordelia Griffith and skipper Heather Knight led the recovery work for the visitors before the former was run out on 17.
Danielle Gibson (0), skipper Heather Knight (8), Abbey Freeborn (2) and Charlie Dean (2) were sent packing in quick succession as the Spirit Women were reeling at 47/7. Deepti Sharma and Eva Gray stitched a brilliant 56-run partnership for the eighth wicket. Gray got dismissed in the penultimate set on 28. Deepti’s 30-ball 46* powered the Spirit Women to 120/8. Sophia Smale picked up two wickets for the Invincibles.
There weren’t enough runs on the board to defend for the Spirit Women, despite Deepti Sharma's heroics with the bat, as the Invincibles Women chased down the total with eight wickets in hand.
