Ellyse Perry (Player of the Match): "We are just ecstatic to play in the final. To play that kind of match and defend the total was great. Our spinners to finish the game was great. A good night for us.

I guess you just have to take the opportunities that come your way. It has been nice in my last two games. As I said, we tried to stay calm at the back end of the innings while bowling. The group has come a long way. We have put in a good work and just enjoy each other's company.

Overall, we just hung in there. Whether it be on the field or with the ball in hand. We were a bit under par but it was a super effort to finish on the top."

Smriti Mandhana (Royal Challengers Bangalore Captain): "Definitely! What a match! I don't really know. I am yet to sink in.

At the halfway mark, I thought we were 20 runs short.

We bowled well. Kept things tight. It obviously needed a special bowling effort when you have to defend 130-odd. Shobana bowled a brilliant final over, keeping her nerves. Shreyanka had an excellent day with the ball. Sophie Molineux, too, that 19th over was pretty crucial. That wicket of Sajana was also important. Obviously, Harmanpreet's dismissal was needed at that point in time.

What do I say on her (Perry) now? Perry is a legend of the game. The way she kept her nerves with 3 wickets down. Even when she came back in, she told us we were in it, so we kept our nerves.

Feels unreal to be in the final. After the last match, we thought we were playing good cricket. Last night, we also had a good feeling, and today as well, we had a nice feeling about the game.

Good to win the toss. But at 30/3, you know the feeling. Cricket is a funny game, and that is one thing I have been taught. One day of good training and one day of good cricket is what is required now."
Sintex Sixes of the Match: Ellyse Perry
Electric Striker of the Match: Georgia Wareham
Time for the post-match presentation.
Akshaya: As I mentioned in my post-match review, remember, during your early days as a cricketer, coaches always say finish the match and come to the dressing room once you are set!
Akshay: Georgia Wareham hit a six on the final ball of the first innings. RCB Women win by five runs. How crucial was that blow from Wareham?
Georgia Wareham: β€œI’m not sure. We fought hard till the end and every time we came in as a group, we told to hang in there and keep fighting. Batting first worked well for us. I didn’t know what was being decider.

Smriti, Pez and Devine were the leaders. Just trying to stay calm. Get the best out of us and having that experience helped us.

(On the last-ball six) I swung across hard as I could and it worked for me. I just try to have that impact on the game and grab every opportunity that comes my way.

Pez is just experienced. She has taken us out of a hole. She impacts the game in all facets of the game and having her on our side is invaluable.

It’s so loud and with RCB chants going around, it’s really cool. To have that support, we will be looking to go forward and go all the way on Sunday.”
Harmanpreet Kaur (Mumbai Indians Captain): β€œWe bowled really well to restrict them below 140. Our batting was also good but we couldn’t bat well in the last 12 balls.

In the 12 balls, we needed one boundary and we couldn’t able to get one. This game always teaches out that and we have to learn from that.

I think when we lost my wicket, our batters couldn’t hold the nerves. That was the turning point. We saw SS in this tournament. She can hit the ball very hard. We want WPL to create young players and get them exposure.

I think we fought really hard. This season, it has been up and down. Last season, it was good but we learnt a lot in this season. We will come prepared and come out hard next season.”
