Milestone
That's all from this encounter, folks! Time to conclude our coverage as well. For now, this is Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of co-commentator Saptak Sanyal and scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. CHEERS!
Rilee Rossouw (Quetta Gladiators Captain)- "I don't think that I did something special. We are doing well as a team. Yes, having 5 specialist bowler is a good option and it becomes better when the bowlers execute. They did a commendable job. I'm loving the moment, I'm loving competitiveness and I'm loving everything here as a captain. I am happy to get Shane Watson and sir Viv Richards in the dressing room."
Khawaja Nafay (Player of the Match): "My intention was clear to play the ball, not the bowler who is bowling, and win the match for my team. I was checking the scoreboard regularly and playing accordingly keeping everything in my mind. I didn't face any difficulties in facing pace and spin bowling and practiced a lot in the nets. Want to thank my coaches and mentors who helped me get here and this award is for them."
Player of the Match- Khawaja Nafay
Super Power of the Day: Saud Shakeel
Energetic Batter of the Match- Jahandad Khan

Time for the post-match presentation....
Shaheen Shah Afridi (Lahore Qalandars Captain)-"Overall team has performed bad today. I think we have to improve a lot in the fielding. We are giving away a lot of boundaries and dropping catches. Nafay is a terrific talent. He has played some good shots and he is looking very bright for Pakistan. He has to perform consistently well in the domestic to get a spot in the Pakistan side. See, missing Rashid Khan won't help, I have said this in the last game. We have to well in the field and that's the only way for us to do better."
Sarfaraz Ahmed- "Thanks to the almighty, we have got off to a good start. I just want to say that our team combination is very good. Shae Watson and Shaun Tait are doing well in the team management along with Rilee Rossouw. The story of Nafay that we play for same club in club cricket. He does a lot of hard work and he hs uploaded a lot of video in his Facebook and from that he got picked in the BPL. After that he came to Quetta Gladiators and he is yet to play first class cricket. His talent is in front of you."
11:20 PM IST, 10:50 PM Local Time: Khawaja Nafay played a swashbuckling knock of 60* runs off just 31 balls and helped Quetta Gladiators chase down 187 runs by 5 wickets with 5 balls to spare.

In the first innings, Lahore Qalandars faced an early setback as Fakhar Zaman was dismissed cheaply, but Rassie van der Dussen provided support to Sahibzada Farhan, who went on to anchor the innings. Although Rassie fell for 15 runs, Sahibzada continued to score boundaries regularly.

Abdullah Shafique also contributed 11 runs to the partnership. Sahibzada Farhan emerged as the top scorer, adding 62 runs to the team's total, marking his second consecutive half-century in this year's PSL with 6 boundaries and 3 sixes. Shaheen Afridi's strategic decision to promote Jahandad Khan proved fruitful, as he contributed a vital 45 runs off just 17 balls, including 3 boundaries and 4 sixes. Sikandar Raza (18) and Shaheen Shah Afridi (12) also made valuable contributions with the bat, helping their side post a hefty 187/7 in 20 overs.

For the Quetta Gladiators, Akeal Hosein and Mohammad Hasnain took two wickets each, while Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Wasim, and Abrar Ahmed claimed one wicket each.

In pursuit of 187 runs, Quetta Gladiators got off to a solid start, as Jason Roy and Saud Shakeel scored at a brisk pace from the word go and added 69 runs for the first wicket. However, Zaman Khan clean-bowled Shakeel for 40 runs and drew the first blood for Lahore, while Roy fell prey to Raza and departed for 24 runs off 19 balls.

Khawaja Nafay and Rilee Rossouw started building the partnership in the middle, but their progress was abruptly halted by Haris Rauf, who trapped the skipper, Rossouw, for 18 runs and broke the budding partnership. Sarfaraz Ahmed and Sherfane Rutherford failed to settle in the middle for long and departed for 11 and 14 runs, respectively. On the other hand, Nafay continued his carnage and remained unbeaten on 60 runs off 31 balls, helping his side chase down 187 runs easily.

Lahore Qalandars failed to defend 187 runs and conceded runs at regular intervals. Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Zaman Khan, Salman Fayyaz, and Sikandar Raza bagged a wicket apiece for the Qalandars.

Stick around for the presentation....
