So we hope you enjoyed that cracker of a match as much as we did bringing its action to you. SEC have reached the final of this year's SA20 and are one step away from defending their crown. It is time for me, Sourya Chowdhury to bid you adieu from my side as well as my fellow commentator Hiren Kumar and scorer/statistician Raju Khariya. See you soon.
Ottniel Baartman (man of the match):  "Just trying to do the basics well, I reckon works for me. The other bowlers in the powerplay helped my cause. I feel I can function in various roles while bowling, and Aiden handled the bowlers really well. The bowling unit picking up wickets in the powerplay put us on the right track. Really excited and looking forward to the final."
Aiden Markram: "There wasn't much of a team talk and the team has a lot of characters within the group. I think we speak to batters and it was tough to bat on this wicket. We focus a lot on conditions as a squad. Yeah, i though the wicket changed a lot before the rain and after the rain. After the rain, the wicket skidded on a bit but we were a few runs short. The new ball on this wicket was crucial and we did it well. It is huge and defending the title will be our goal."
Keshav Maharaj: "We were happy to restrict them to 160 but credit to them. We batted poor against the new ball and we failed to build partnerships in the middle. Yeah, obviously the schedule is not easy but we know what's on stake and that's the semi final."
2:30am IST and 11pm Local Time: Sourya: It is all over!! Defending SA20 champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape stormed into the final again by beating tough challengers Durban's Super Giants by a massive 51-run margin.
Defending a slightly below-par total of 157/8, SEC came out all-guns blazing in the first powerplay, with their pacers Marco Jansen (4/16 off 3.3), Daniel Worrall (0/11) and Ottniel Baartman (4/10) breathing fire, bowling with pace and gusto, moving it both in the air and off the seam, while also extracting bounce. DSG were reduced to 18/3 in the powerplay, the lowest in this edition of the tournament.
They never really recovered, even though there were flickers of resistance from Quinton de Kock (20), Wiaan Mulder (38 off 34) and Heinrich Klaasen (23 off 15), they were always playing catch-up, and the efficient late bowling cleaned them and the tail up. Among the spinners, Liam Dawson got two scalps. The SEC side also fielded exceedingly well barring one drop catch, with captain Aiden Markram taking a stunner early in the piece.
Earlier, the SEC skipper chose to bat first and were going great guns, with Dawid Malan hitting 63. But rain and some persistent bowling from DSG pulled them back to 157. Skipper Keshav Maharaj and Junior Dala took two wickets, while Recce Topley and Naveen-ul-Haq bowled well as well. For SEC, apart from Malan, who batted brilliantly, Markram and Hermann also got some runs.
DSG wer were well and truly in the game at the halfway point, especially with the sticky pitch becoming better to bat on after the rain and with them still having restricted the SEC to a relatively low total, but had not reckoned for that brilliant bowling performance from their adversaries that followed.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape march into the final after winning this Qualifier by 51 runs.
