Thatโ€™s all from this contest, folks! Faf du Plessis-led Joburg Super Kings taste victory for the first time this season, and that too in front of their home crowd.

For now, this is Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of co-commentator Hiren Kumar and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. CHEERS!
Donovan Ferriera (Player of the match) - 'Yeah, i am quite relieved after the first few games and happy to perform in front of the home crowd. I try to stand still and have got quick hands i think. I asked Moeen what are the good options and how we will build the partnership.

I just told him that we need see both the sides of the wicket. Yeah, I mean we are very grateful for all the support and we are glad we can give you such a performance."
Donovan Ferriera is the player of the match.
Faf du Plessis (Joburg Super Kings Captain): "I thought we were much better today. The bowlers were excellent, and the fielding was unbelievable. Those are the small things you try and get right and then with a bat, there was a little bit of a stutter up front, to be honest. It was a little bit of nervous bodies and nervous minds. But there was a great partnership, just one partnership, just to settle the nerves. And then the boys played beautifully.

Donovan has got that potential. He's a serious ball striker. So, yeah, tonight is a great point just to build on that. I think the way that he set his innings up is really important. There wasn't a lot of slogging in the beginning. There was temperament, there was a game plan, and with power like that towards the end, you can always catch up. So just that composure, I thought was really good for him tonight.

We spoke after the previous game about not sitting back and waiting or hoping for things to change. You really need to throw that first punch and try to just change it around."

Wayne Parnell (Pretoria Capitals Captain) - "Yeah, I mean we are in a very fortunate position to entertain the crowd. Obviously disappointed on the lose. I think in the backend we got something that was defendable.

Donovan Ferreira was brilliant in the backend and also Moeen Ali who took it deep. I mean you can't ponder on the lose too much. We will try to learn from the errors and be fresh for the next game which is a big one."
Welcome to the post match presentation.
12:30 AM IST, 21:00 Local Time | Deepak: Start the whistles, Joburg Super Kings thump Pretoria Capitals by 6 wickets with 12 balls to spare in front of their home crowd to register their first win of the second season of SA20. Thanks to Donovan Ferreira for his breadth-taking knock of 20-ball 56 runs, the fastest fifty of SA20.

Earlier, after opting to bat first, Pretoria Capitals got off to a shaky start, losing wickets at regular intervals and finding themselves in a dire situation at 67/6. The rescue mission was initiated by Kyle Verreynne and Wayne Parnell, with the pair adding 40+ runs for the seventh wicket. Parnell departed after playing a crucial knock of 22 runs. On the other hand, Verreynne shifted gears and scored at a brisk pace, notching up his fifty in the process.

Adil Rashid contributed with a cameo of 15 runs, while Verreynne remained unbeaten on 72 runs off 52 balls, guiding his side to a total of 167/9 in 20 overs. Hardus Viljoen, who came out to face the penultimate ball, smashed 10 runs in the last two balls. The Capitals added 60 runs off the last 5 overs

Lizaad Williams and Romario Shepherd bagged three wickets each for JSK. Nandre Burger chipped in with a couple of wickets, while Imran Tahir celebrated a solitary wicket.

In pursuit of 167 runs, Joburg Super Kings (JSK) faced early setbacks as Reeza Hendricks and Faf du Plessis fell cheaply, both victims of Will Jacks. The rescue mission was initiated by Leus du Plooy and Sibonelo Makhanya, who scored at a brisk pace to keep the run rate in check. However, Adil Rashid proved pivotal, trapping du Plooy for 33 runs and putting a halt to the budding partnership. Soon after, Makhanya departed, falling just 10 runs shy of his half-century.

Donovan Ferreira and Moeen Ali paired up in the middle, and the pair took responsibility for scoring at a rapid pace at the cue end of the innings.  Ferreira, in particular, was in a league of his own, reaching his fifty in a blistering 18 balls, setting a new record for the fastest fifty in SA20.  Moeen Ali played second fiddle in the partnership, scoring 25* runs off 21 balls, while Ferreira remained unbeaten on 56 runs and sealed the game with a boundary.

Will Jacks claimed a couple of wickets for the Capitals, while Adil Rashid and James Neesham celebrated a solitary wicket.

So, JSK win their first game of the season and will look to carry the momentum in the upcoming matches. Stay tuned for the post-match presentation.....
