That's it from a run fest at Johannesburg. A one-sided victory for the MI Cape Town side who take the top spot in the points table. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Anirudh Modi and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Rassie van der Dussen (Player of the Match): "I love playing here, I went to the wrong dressing room at the start. It was a good toss to lose. There was movement early on but we decided to play with intent.

I think these two games have showed that we [Ryan and I] have built a nice partnership, the first match he came, he got off to a flier and today was my turn. I think it was important to our game to feed off each other and strike nicely.

Very disappointed but he is a quality player, he has put in a lot of work into his game, there are high expectations from him in this season. As a batter it is always nice, you don't want to feel your way in, you want to get that score and as a unit as well. We have done that twice now, we lost to Klaasie in the last game.

We improved this game, but for the rest of the tournament it's important to have momentum. People want to come in and it's a great crowd here, I'm excited to play in Cape Town."
Rassie van der Dussen is the Player of the Match!
Kieron Pollard (MI Cape Town Captain): "The openers laid the foundation for us in both the games. Just unfortunate that Ryan wasn't able to complete his 100. We gave ourselves the right chance in this match.

There were a lot of things we had to fix last year but its about giving the guys confidence. When you go out and exercise your talent, it does wonders for yourself. They have done that in the first 2 games and need to continue over and over.

Getting a bonus point win here is gonna do wonders for us in the back of the tournament. The ball is gonna fly here and the message is to control the damage and we did it brilliantly today.

When you play and win home games, that's very important in a tournament. The opposition will be expecting us to come out and perform the way we have. The guys had a very good 10-day camp there so we can understand what we need to do there."
Faf du Plessis (Joburg Super Kings Captain): "I was surprised, I thought it will be a little stickier, the first over there was no turn, I was a bit concerned. They played well, got the partnership going and it got a bit difficult to defend, they were exceptional.

Felt like at one stage we were going to chase 300. Good opportunity to learn from it, when the ball's going that way, we need to make those big overs smaller. It feels like you need to get 30 runs a over to chase this down.

Kallis when he walked out of 438 game, he said they were 10 runs short but to chase these down you need a big partnership at the top of the order, you lose three quick wickets and it's all done. We expected something slightly more different, we picked a spinner heavy side, this was Wanderers of the old and we have to adapt by what we saw today.

George Linde bowled beautifully, he is a bit taller and got the extra bounce, our spinners are a bit shorter but credit to him to bowl well and get the wickets."
Time for the post match presentation ceremony..
9:19 PM IST, 5:49 PM Local Time: MI Cape Town have defeated the Joburg Super Kings by a huge margin of 98 runs to stay at the top of the table. They also get a bonus point for this huge victory.

Super Kings won the toss and opted to bowl first in a game which started late due to rain. MICT openers Rassie van der Dussen (104) and Ryan Rickelton (98) broke a few records to deposit a mammoth 243/5 in their 20 overs.

The chase could never get off as the Super Kings continued losing wickets at regular interval after a very slow start. The top 3 batters failed to get into double digits with the score at powerplay lying at 47/4.

Leus du Plooy batting at number 4 hit 48 in 24 deliveries adding 45 runs for the 5th wicket with Donovan Ferreira (14 off 16). Romario Shepherd then tried to entertain the crowd with 34 in 19 balls but the middle and lower order collapsed as well chasing a very steep target.

George Linde (2/25) and Olly Stone (2/18) picked up 2 wickets each. Kagiso Rabada (1/6), Beuran Hendricks (1/17), Sam Curran (1/29) and Liam Livingstone (1/46) picked up a wicket apiece. Hendricks, Curran and Livingstone proved a bit costly but the Cape Town side had enough runs on the board to not worry about that factor.

Stay tuned as we bring you the post match presentation.
That's it! It's all over for Joburg Super Kings! A dominant victory with a bonus point for MI Cape Town!
