That's all from this one-sided contest, folks! Thank you for staying with us till the end. For now, this is Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of co-commentator AkshayaKrishna Polya and scorer/analyst Manish Bishnoi. CHEERS!
Tamim Iqbal (Fortune Barishal Captain): "Oh, yes, a big relief. You know, as I told you during the toss in all the games that we have played, we have actually played very good cricket. Those five percenters were actually going against us or we were not doing the right things for those five percenters. Otherwise, the whole thing could have been very different.

So today, I think we bowled extremely well. But if you see, we still missed two or three catches. So this is one area that especially in T20 cricket, you cannot miss too many catches, and if we are doing it quite regularly, this is a concern."

Mahmudullah Riyad (Player of the Match): "Yeah, we needed that win and I am happy to contribute. We needed to build a partnership at that point and time, and me and Mushi had a good partnership later on. Mehidy Hasan Miraz played a crucial part and scored a quick 15 runs. With the dew coming in later on, this pitch becomes a bit easy for batting but you needed to get in as there was a little bit of help for the bowlers."
Player of the Match: Mahmudullah Riyad
Time for the post-match presentation...
Mashrafe Mortaza (Sylhet Strikers Captain): "I think Zakir batted so well and also Benny started well. But you know, we conceded around 50 runs in the last three overs and that cost us the game. I think we could have bowled better.

Obviously, I mean, no matter what, every single match you come and you have to put on 100% to win the matches. I mean, losing five matches in a row and it is difficult to come back, but again, we are trying to gel up and trying to understand, boys that maybe one momentum can give us some few."

9:26 PM IST, 9:56 PM Local Time: Sylhet Strikers are skittled for a paltry 137 runs in 17.3 overs and Fortune Barishal win by a massive margin of 49 runs.

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Fortune Barishal posted a hefty 186/5 in 20 overs. Despite early setbacks, Soumya Sarkar's resilient innings and Shehzad's aggressive play laid a strong foundation for Barishal. After Sarkar's departure, partnerships involving Shehzad, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Mahmudullah propelled the score. Shehzad scored 66 off 41, Mahmudullah remained unbeaten with 51 off 24, and contributions from Rahim and Mehidy Hasan Miraz led to a total of 186/5 in 20 overs.

Benny Howell bowled a brilliant spell in the middle and finished with figures of 4-0-21-3, while Nayeem Hasan and Richard Ngarava grabbed one each, with the latter being taken to the cleaners in his final spell.

In pursuit of a hefty 186 runs, Sylhet Strikers lost Najmul Hossain Shanto for a mere 9 runs. Shamsur Rahman smashed a couple of boundaries and a maximum but failed to carry the momentum, departing for 25 runs off 23 balls, while Mashrafe Mortaza departed cheaply for just 2 runs, and the Strikers found themselves reeling at 52/3 at the end of 7 overs.

Zakir Hasan and Benny Howell started the rescue mission, and the pair switched gears to score at a brisk pace in the middle and added 50+ runs between them but failed to carry the momentum, and both set batters departed in two consecutive deliveries, leaving his side in deep waters. Zakir fell just 4 short of his fifty, while Howell contributed 24 runs.

Following the wicket of both set batters, the Strikers started falling like nine pins and eventually, they were bundled out for a paltry 137 runs in the 18th over of the innings, falling 49 runs short of the target.

Mohammad Imran shone with the ball and bagged 4 wickets for Fortune Barishal. Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Khaled Ahmed chipped in with a couple of wickets, while Akif Javed contributed a solitary wicket to the Strikers' downfall.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentation.....
17.3 M Imran to R Ngarava
W BOWLED'EM! BOWLED'EM! That's it, Sylhet Strikers are bundled out for a mere 137 runs, losing by 49 runs. Imran gets his fourth scalp. Yorker straight in the block hole. Ngarava gets his bat down to block it but is a tad late in the process as the ball ricochets off the pads and crashes into the stumps. Fortune Barishal win by a massive margin of 49 runs.
Richard Ngarava is the last man in for the Strikers.

17.2 M Imran to Raja
W WICKET! Another nail in the coffin! Length delivery angling away outside off. Raja clears his front leg and hoicks across the line of the ball but gets the thick top edge of the bat that balloons up in the air and the backward point fielder runs to his back and takes it safely.
17.1 M Imran to S Patel
1 Full and around off. Samit heaves it towards long-off for a single.
