So that marks the end of our coverage from the nail-bitting encounter between Lahore Blues and Karachi Whites where Lahore defeated their opposition by 5 runs.

For now, this is Saptak Sanyal, signing off on the behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash and our scorer/analyst Bishal Mandal. Don't go anywhere. Switch the tabs to follow our coverage of the second T20I between India and Australia.
Hussain Talat (Lahore Blues Captain): "Credit goes to the whole team, the way our boys put effort into batting, bowling, and especially fielding. Our plan was to score somewhere around 160-170 runs, and we were short by 10 runs but managed to cover that through our fielding.

We could have scored more runs the way we got the start but the new ball was coming nicely on the bat, but as the game progressed it wasn't easy for the batter to time the old ball."
19:03 IST and 18:33 Local Time | Lahore Blues executed the yorkers perfectly in the final couple of overs and the Karachi batters failed to score 16 runs needed from those overs. They ended up falling 5 run short of the target.

After coming to bat first, the Lahore Blues started off well as Imran Butt scored a valiant 54 of 35 with 6 fours and 2 sixes. Rizwan Hussain contributed well for his 19. Skipper Hussain Talat came to bat and scored a fine  45 of 31 and Umar Sidiq, Shawaiz Irfan contributed with good cameos. Their batting helped Lahore to reach 159 run after the 20th over.

Arif Yaqoob and Sohail Khan took a couple of wickets each. Ziaullah and Asad Shafiq contributed with a wicket each.

Coming to chase the run, Karachi Whites lost Khurram Manzoor for just 14 but the  partnership for the second wicket between Ammad Alam and Omair Yousuf was of 65 runs. Yousuf scored 31 and Alam went back scoring 45. After losing Asad Shafiq in a  quick succession, Azam Khan and Danish Aziz recovered well but Aziz went back scoring 35 with just 16 runs remaining from the last two overs. Danish Aziz remained unbeaten on 24 but failed to chase the run.

For the Lahore side, Kashif Bhatti took two wickets. Salman Irshad, Umaid Asif and Hunain Shah took one wicket. The bowlers were spot on in the death overs and they restricted the Karachi by 5 runs short.

That's the game!! Perfect yorker to nutmeg Ziaullah and he misses.
19.6 H Shah to Ziaullah
0 Hunain Shah, take a bow man! Unplayable yorker deliveries in the last over and he managed to save 10 runs in the final over. Lahore Blues managed to defend 159 runs, winning the game by 5 runs. Yorker ball a shade down the leg. Ziaullah clears the front leg but fails to execute any shot on it as he is cramped for room and the ball goes through the legs.
Hunain Shah and Danish Aziz just had a collision while Aziz was looking for the second run. Shah is down to the ground in pain. He is back now and having some water. 6 from the final ball now.
19.5 H Shah to D Aziz
1 In the air and safe. Full and outside off. Aziz slices it to deep point for a single. The ball goes on a bounce to the fielder, who collects the ball and fires it quickly to avoid the second run. 6 needed off the final ball. A slight pause in play as Aziz collided with Hunain in the process of taking the run.
7 from 2 now. Aziz should look to have a boundary next ball
19.4 H Shah to D Aziz
2 Full-length delivery on the stumps. Aziz clears his front leg from the line of the ball and whips it to deep mid-wicket for a couple of runs. 7 needed off 2 balls now.
DOT BALL! Unplayable Yorker from Hunain.
19.3 H Shah to D Aziz
0 Gold dust! A pin-point yorker from Hunain at the off and middle stump line. Aziz clears his front leg and blocks it instead of going for a big shot.
Eyes on Danish Aziz now.
19.2 H Shah to Ziaullah
1 Full and outside off. Ziaullah makes room and drives at it but gets it off the outer half of the bat towards point for a single. A risky single but Aziz is back on strike now.
Ziaullah walks in with the bat. He should rotate the strike to let Aziz face the remaining balls.
