Shannon came in and bowled brilliantly. First game and did well. I got two overs in the end. Good to get in the wickets. Cox is in some serious form. The Tigers did a fantastic job of knocking over Team Abu Dhabi on a modest total of 66 before Jordan Cox played a sensational knock of 56* off 23 balls to help his side chase down the total in just 4.5 overs with nine wickets in hand.
The tone was set by the Bangla Tigers' bowlers by knocking over Team Abu Dhabi on 66. The Tigers lost Avishka Fernando on a duck in the very first over but Jordan Cox continued his rich form with the bat. He played some scintillating strokes and didn't allow Team Abu Dhabi to get back in the contest. He was helped by some poor fielding and dropped catches as he pounced on the opportunity.
Cox was in a real hurry to finish the game as he hit boundaries for fun and brought up his fifty off just 21 balls. He hit a six to close out the fixture and take his side across the line in just 4.5 overs with nine wickets in hand. He remained unbeaten on 56 off just 23 balls and hit 10 boundaries and two maximums. Kusal Mendis also remained unbeaten on eight off four balls as they completed an outstanding victory over Team Abu Dhabi.
Earlier, Team Abu Dhabi were asked to bat first and their batters never got going. They faltered as they were reduced to 24/6 at the end of six overs. Skipper Dwaine Pretorius tried to fight back and scored 15 off 13 balls before falling in the penultimate over. Rumman Raees hit some lusty blows in the final over and remained unbeaten on 20 off eight balls to take Team Abu Dhabi to 66.
