Player Bio

A product of Kent County Club, Jordan Cox is an English cricketer who plays for Kent in the England domestic circuit.

Cox joined Kent at the age of 10 and since then has sharpened his skills a lot. A hard-hitting right-handed wicket-keeper batsman, Cox won the Aitken Grey Award as the best academy scholar in 2018. The stylish batter made a name for himself against Bangladesh Under-19, when he slammed 122 in a 50-over game in 2019.

Cox was also a part of the England Under-19 squad for the 2020 World Cup.

However, it was in the summer of 2020 when Cox really announced himself on the world stage. The dashing player stitched a record 423-run partnership, alongside Jack Leaning against Sussex. Cox remained unbeaten on 238 and literally toiled with the Sussex pace attack. Cox’ century was the first scored in England by a player born in 2000’s.

In 2020, he signed a contract with Kent, extending his stay till 2023.

A stylish wicket-keeper player, Cox has all the tools required to be successful at the international level. He has a solid technique and the skill level needed to survive at the biggest stage in world cricket.
