Milestone
That brings an end to our coverage for this game. Do switch tabs as the game between Deccan Gladiators and The Chennai Braves kicks off soon. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentator Karthik Raj and scorer Ashok Dayma. See you there in match 17.
Benny Howell (Bangla Tigers Captain): "Not till the last moment. The bowlers kept their cool and did a fine job. Zazai batted well. Extraordinary well to keep us on the toes. But the bowlers executed their plans in the end and defended the total successfully.

The match-up against Zazai with the spin was dangerous. So I didn't bowl tonight. I decided to bring in the pacers.

Relieved to get the win. It's nice to have two wins in four games. Important now for us to carry the momentum forward. Shakib is a legend. I know the crowd loves him and it's good to have him support us."
David Miller (Player of the Match): "It was a crucial knock. In games like these, you need someone to come off with the bat. The bowlers were also superb in the end. Hopefully, we can get three wins in a row. It has been stop-start so far for us. The mood is really good. We were in the bus for an hour and a half yesterday due to the traffic. The guys are having fun."

9:23 PM IST, 7:53 PM Local Time: End of a run fest here in Abu Dhabi and what a thriller it has been. Jimmy Neesham tries hard for the Northern Warriors but Dominic Drakes holds his nerves to defend four of the last ball to help the Bangla Tigers win the game by two runs. It looked like the Warriors would cruise to the total but the Tigers refused to give up. Picked up regular wickets and took the game to the last over and made sure that they defended the total successfully to get back to winning ways.

Chasing a mammoth 138, the Warriors got off to flying start. Hazratullah Zazai and Kennar Lewis played some outstanding strokes upfront and scored at a brisk rate. They took down the opposition and brought up team’s fifty in no time. Lewis fell after scoring 22 off nine balls but there was no stopping Zazai. He hit boundaries for fun and brought up his fifty off just 18 balls. It looked like the Warriors would cruise towards the total before the Tigers stormed back in the contest. Zazai miscued one and fell on 20-ball 57. His knock comprised five boundaries and as many sixes.

Adam Hose started aggressively but edged one to the keeper to depart on 17. The Warriors required 30 runs from the last three overs. Carlos Brathwaite bowled a brilliant over. He conceded only three runs and picked up two wickets in the eighth over. The game went down the wire and the Warriors require 17 runs from the last over.

Jimmy Neesham hit a couple of boundaries at the start of the over. With four needed of the last ball, Drakes held his nerves as Neesham mistimed the scoop and as a result, the Warriors fell short by two runs. Neesham's cameo of 23* resulted in a losing cause for the Warriors who suffered their third straight loss.

Earlier, the Bangla Tigers were asked to bat first and they lost Avishka Fernando (11) early in their innings. Jordan Cox continued his rich form with the bat and played some beautiful strokes. He along with Kusal Mendis put 52 for the second wicket before the latter fell on 20. Cox also got cleaned up in the same over on 35 off 16 balls.

David Miller and Dasun Shanaka took their time to settle in. After they got their eye in, they teed off. Miller went berserk and took on the Warriors’ bowlers in the death overs. He hit some lusty blows and brought up his fifty. He scored 50 off 24 balls before getting run out on the last ball of the innings as the Tigers posted 137 on the board. The Warriors picked up four wickets in total, with Jimmy Neesham finishing with two.
