That's it from the presentation ceremony and a wonderful game of T20 cricket. Thank you for joining us, Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshaya Krishna Polya and scorer Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Gautam Gambhir (India Capitals Captain): "We always knew it will be a great run chase and had to up our game. Isuru with his 19th over got us back in the game. It was a great T20 game.

It was a par score. The ground is small and the ball was coming nicely. The bowlers stuck with the plans and kept backing themselves. Whenever you can defend against a batting line up like this you gotta give credit to the bowlers.

I thought we started off really well. Its not about me, its about the other guys as well who chipped in and got us to a good total.

We put ourselves in this position. If we had finished in top 2 we wouldn't have played back-to-back. But this is the schedule and we are professional cricketers. Hopefully we will turn up tomorrow and play our best game again as well."
Parthiv Patel (Gujarat Giants Captain): "Our bowlers did well to keep them to that score. It is a good pitch and any total can be chased on this surface.

We wanted one of the openers to bat till the end. It's not easy for any top order batter to hit those sixes. I think Chris Gayle and Kevin O'Brien batted really well. We wanted someone to finish the game but sadly didn't happen.

I love playing in Surat. I have played a lots of first-class cricket here as well and the crowd comes in and supports us in big numbers."
Isuru Udana (Legend of the Match): "I had a simple plan. I wanted to follow the basics and execute.

You have to back your skills and not to think about the batter. He will hit it anyways, you just try to execute the plans. If you do that then it is hard to hit.

It won't be easy to play back to back but still I'll be playing competitively."

10:23 PM IST and Local Time: The India Capitals win the important Eliminator game to seal a spot in the second qualifier to be played tonight after defeating the Gujarat Giants by 12 runs in a high scoring encounter at Surat.

The Giants won the toss and elected to bowl first allowing the Capitals to score 223/7 with skipper Gautam Gambhir top scoring with 51 in 30 balls. Rajat Bhatia and Rayad Emrit picked up 2 wickets each but the rest of the attack proved expensive.

Chris Gayle and Jacques Kallis provided a quick start adding 41 in 3 overs but the latter was dismissed by Fidel Edwards breaking the stand. Richard Levi continued the momentum but was unlucky to be dismissed at the non striker's end with Gayle's drive ricocheting off bowler Ishwar Pandey's foot who then soon dismissed the in-form Abhishek Jhunjhunwala.

Gayle continued the assault pacing his half century well and added 115 runs with Kevin O'Brien for the fourth wicket. O'Brien scored 57 in 33 balls and was dismissed by Pandey in the 18th over.

The penultimate saw the end of Gayle's 84 in 55 balls with Isuru Udana containing the score to just 2 runs in that over and setting a tough chase of 21 runs in the final over. Rusty Theron took the responsibility and finished with 2 wickets conceding 8 runs to keep the team alive in the contest.

Pandey (2/34) and Theron (2/37) both picked up a wicket apiece, Udana (1/22) was the pick of the bowlers with Fidel Edwards (1/43) providing the early breakthrough. The highlight of the innings though, was Gayle hitting offspinner Ashley Nurse for 4 consecutive sixes milking 29 runs off his final over.

Stay tuned as we bring you the updates from the post match presentation.
