Player Bio

A swashbuckling all-rounder, Rayad Emrit is a West Indian cricketer who made his international debut in 2007.

Having made his first-class debut in 2004, Emrit's big breakthrough came in 2007 when he was included in the West Indian squad for their tour of India, a few months prior to the 2007 World Cup.

He played two games for his nation and failed to make an impact. He batted too low down the order to dictate terms in the match and also went wicket-less, which virtually ended his international career.

Emrit went back to his domestic roots and was in the grand scheme of things for the Trinidad and Tobago site.

Over the years, the Trinidad born player played in T20 leagues across the globe and made a name for himself. Eventually, after almost 11 years, he was recalled to the national side in 2018. The team management was impressed with his domestic numbers and decided to hand over his maiden T20I cap against New Zealand.

A key component for his domestic teams, Emrit is still going strong at the age of 40. He still desires to represent his nation in the Test format. His willingness to fight, even after a failure makes him a special commodity.
