Milestone
Time to wrap our coverage as well. We hope you enjoyed this last-over thriller. Thank you for staying with us throughout the match. For now, this is Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Soumarya Dutta and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. CHEERS!
Suresh Raina Captain, Urbanrisers Hyderabad - I think Mann played extremely well. He showed great discipline and played the big shots timely. I didn't want to let KP settle so I kept rotating the bowlers. He played really well but hats off Mpofu and Trego as they bowled really well. You can never loose when you had dinner at MS Dhoni's house(Laughs). It's about training our brains for being able to bowl when there is dew. It's something that is only there in the mind and it's important to bowl in the right areas.
Gautam Gambhir (India Capitals Captain): "Yeah, absolutely. I think Hyderabad batted much better than us. And obviously, we never thought that they were going to go to 190. But then credit to Gurkeerat and Suresh for the way they stitched the partnership. And then obviously we were in the game. Yeah, but these things happen in T20 cricket. Kevin coming in is such a boost for us."
Gurkeerat Mann, Legend  of the match- I think there was a specific role given to me by the captain and the management. I felt that the ball was stopping a bit but once I had my eye in it became easier. We felt we had enough on the board but the dew came in quite early in the evening. I've bowled together with Suresh Raina in the past as well.
Legend of the Match: Gurkeerat Singh Mann
Time for the Post Match Presentation now.
7:11 PM IST & Local Time | Deepak: The match swung to and fro like a pendulum and eventually, rested in the favour of Suresh Raina-led Urbanrisers Hyderabad side. The Men in Yellow, Urbanrisers Hyderabad thumped the Gautam Gambhir-led India Capitals side by a razor-thin margin of 3 runs.

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Urbanrisers Hyderabad got off to a shaky start, losing both their openers, Dwayne Smith and Martin Guptill, in a jiffy. Gurkeerat Singh Mann and Suresh Raina started the rescue mission and negotiated carefully for a few overs. The duo scored at a decent pace and helped their side come out of a precarious situation by forging 92 runs for the third wicket. Raina fell 4 runs shy of his half-century, but Gurkeerat continued his carnage and scored a blistering 89 runs off 54 balls. Peter Trego took responsibility for scoring at the cue end of the innings, and the right-handed batter played an unbeaten cameo of 36 runs off 20 balls, helping his side post a formidable 189/5 in 20 overs.

Isuru Udana bagged a couple of wickets for the Capitals, while Rusty Theron, Munaf Patel, and KP Appanna celebrated a solitary wicket.

In pursuit of a hefty 189 runs, India Capitals lost skipper Gautam Gambhir for a golden duck straightaway in the first ball of the innings. The Capitals top-order batters struggled to settle in the middle and were 4 wickets down in no time.

The impact player, Kevin Pietersen, paired up with Ricardo Powell and started the rescue mission; the former played at a rapid pace and notched up his half-century on his LLC debut. The Pietersen-Powell duo added 72 runs for the fifth wicket, with Powell departing for 26 runs off 24 balls. KP continued the carnage but failed to bat till the end and was clean bowled for 77 runs off 48 balls by Pawan Suyal in the 18th over.

Ashley Nurse played an electrifying knock at the cue end of the innings and reduced the equation to 11 runs off the final over. The match went down to the wire, but Peter Trego held his nerve in the final over and conceded only 7 runs, winning the match by a mere 3 runs. Nurse remained unbeaten on 41 runs off 25 balls but failed to help his side cross the winning line.

Chris Mpofu bagged a couple of wickets for Urbanrisers, while Peter Trego, Tino Best, and Pawan Suyal contributed one wicket.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentation.
