But in the end, Canterbury Kings have come out of nowhere to win the game off the final ball by 4 wickets off the final ball. Wellington will wonder where did they lose this game. It was their game to be won, but they let it slip in the end as Logan was taken to the cleaners. What a game of cricket.
Chasing 174 for the win, the Kings lost early wickets as they lost Tom Latham and Henry Nicholls early for low scores. Chad Bowes looked good for his 46 off 33 balls and took the attack to the opposition inside the powerplay. Cole McConchie the skipper led from the front with his 53 off 38 balls. The keeper batter Mitchell Hay looked good for his 38 off 28 balls. It looked like they have lost their way and lost the game. But Matt Henry turned out to be the game changer and scored 16* off 6 balls when the team needed it in the final over while Zak Foulkes hit the winning runs and scored 11* off 7 balls. 10 extras were given by the fielding side as the chase was achieved in the final ball of the match with a six from Foulkes.
