That's it from another enthralling contest in the Super Smash competition. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of scorer Ashok Dayma. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Muhammad Abbas (Player of the Match): "I talked to a couple of my teammates and I've got good experience at the back. Spoke to Dave and I spoke to Beek. They told me to stay still and kinda helped me and I just stuck to my game and strengths and it turned out pretty well.

I had backing from those guys and I knew it would be easy for us. Those guys really helped me get out there and just play how I wanted to.

It was coming off the bat pretty nice, so enjoyed it."
Muhammad Abbas is the player of the match.
9:46 AM IST, 5:16 PM Local Time: The Wellington Firebirds reach the top of the table with an exciting 4 wicket win against the Central Stags at McLean Park in Napier. The Stags won the toss and elected to bat first putting 158/7 on the board after their 20 overs.

The chase didn't start well with Bevan Small starting with a wicket maiden in the powerplay. Both the openers were back in the hut in 3.2 overs with only 14 runs on the board. Skipper Nick Kelly (23 off 21) and Muhammad Abbas added 36 runs for the third wicket providing some stability to the chase.

After Kelly's departure, Abbas teamed with Michael Bracewell (41 off 30) adding 92 runs for the 4th wicket getting to his first T20 half century on the way. He compiled 72 in 38 balls hitting 6 fours and 5 maximums and was dismissed when the team needed 17 in 20 balls to win.

Bracewell and Callum McLachlan were both dismissed in the 17th over by Bevan Small but it was Nathan Smith who kept his nerve and finished off with an unbeaten 12 off 4 deliveries hitting a six and the winning boundary.

Bevan Small (4/22 with a maiden) was the pick of the bowlers with Jayden Lennox (1/24) and Blair Tickner (1/39) taking a wicket each. Josh Clarkson (0/10) and Ajaz Patel (0/15) bowled a couple of tidy overs each taking the game to the final over but Abbas' knock didn't keep much for the bowlers to bowl at in the end.
