That's it. Thank you for joining us. Until next time, it's goodbye from Ninaad, Sidharth and our scorer Zeeshan. Tata!
Tim Southee (Stand-in NZ Skipper): “It was a good surface. Finn Allen and Kane (Williamson) set it up at the top. (Adam) Milne was superb. (Ben) Sears showed a lot of character. (Ish) Sodhi came back strongly after going for 19 off his first over. We did lose a few wickets in our innings towards the end, but the batters at the top had done enough for a victory.”
Shaheen Shah Afridi (Pakistan Captain): "Bowling first you can look for swing and look for wickets early. Unfortunately we missed out on that today. If we would have taken 1 or 2 wickets then their score would have been 170 - 180. We didn't start the way we want.

Our bowlers bowled well after 10 overs. We struggled in first 10 overs but the way Haris and Nawaz bowled was really good and Usama Mir bowled really well."
Finn Allen (Player of the Match): "I think its a positive innings for me. To be adaptable and work through the gears in my game. Its pleasing to see that its come through.

When Daryl came off we had a chat. We thought 200 was a good score. We were slightly about par.

Kane Williamson is a calming figure. He has got his game figured out pretty well so he knows what he is trying to do."

3:16 PM IST and 10:46 PM Local Time | That's it. New Zealand go 2-0 up with a 21-run win in Hamilton.

Chasing a mammoth 195, Pakistan were off to a poor start as they lost both openers Saim Ayub (1) and Mohammad Rizwan (7) inside the first two overs. Ayub mistimed a pull while Rizwan was removed by a beauty from Adam Milne. Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman then combined and put together a fifty-plus stand in no time. Both Babar and Fakhar primarily dealt in boundaries before the latter, who made a quickfire fifty, fell just at the stroke of drinks. Soon, Iftikhar Ahmed (4), Azam Khan (2) and Aamir Jamal (9) were back in the hut, leaving the visitors in all sorts of trouble. Babar showed good fight, but once again couldn’t help his team cross the finish line. He was dismissed on 66. Fakhar’s wicket was inarguably the turning point of the match, and the home team took full advantage of Pakistan’s inexperienced middle order. For New Zealand, Adam Milne ended with an impressive 4/33. Tim Southee, Ben Sears and Ish Sodhi grabbed two scalps apiece.

Earlier in the evening, New Zealand, after being asked to bat, rode Finn Allen’s 41-ball 74 and contributions from skipper Kane Williamson (26 & retired hurt), Mitchell Santner (25) and Devon Conway (20) to post a commanding 194/8 in their full quota of 20 overs. It’s pertinent to note that Williamson had to return midway due to tightness in hamstring. After a magnificent 16 overs, New Zealand lost five wickets and could only manage 37 runs in the last four overs, but still had enough on the scoreboard to get the better of their opponent. For Pakistan, Haris Rauf took the most wickets (3).

19.3 T Southee to A Afridi
W GONE!! It's all over! Abbas Afridi hits it straight to Sodhi at short fine leg. Back of a length outside the off stump. Shuffles across to ramp it, makes good contact and finds Ish Sodhi who fails to spot the ball yet manages to take the catch with both hands to his right. New Zealand go 2-0 up in the series.
Should have been at least two here. 22 off 4.
19.2 T Southee to H Rauf
1 Short delivery angled back in. Rauf swings and helps it on its way in the fine leg region. 2 runs up for grabs. Ish Sodhi is inside the ring and chases the ball down. Oh no! Poor running between the wickets as the batters settle for just a single.
Edged and has it carried? Umpires get in the middle for a chat and decide to send it upstairs. Definitely a nick, but has it landed just short of Conway? Looks like his fingers are underneath the ball at the time of its landing. Tough one for the third umpire. Enough doubt, and he rules it in the batter's favour. 23 off 5.
19.1 T Southee to H Rauf
0 Over the stumps. 107.4 kph. Good length delivery outside the off stump. Haris swings hard and gets an edge. Conway dives forward to take a low catch and appeals. The umpires convene and decide to send this upstairs for the TV umpire to have a look.
Pakistan need 23 off the final over with a wicket in hand. Adam Milne finishes with an impressive 4/33. Tim Southee to deliver the 20th over.

18.5 A Milne to A Afridi
6 SIX RUNS!! Pakistan alive in the chase! Milne bowls a leg stump half volley angling back towards the batter. Abbas gets on the front foot and deposits it over long off. His highest score in T20I, also the first maximum off his bat in the format.
18.4 A Milne to H Rauf
1 HATTRICK BALL! 147.7 kph. Full length on the leg stump, Rauf flicks it between deep square and deep midwicket for a single.
Haris Rauf to face the hat-trick ball
