Time to conclude our coverage as well from this match. Hobart Hurricanes Women defeated their opponent Melbourne Renegades Women by 14 balls and 8 wickets remaining to continue their winning run in the tournament.

I am Saptak Sanyal, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee and our scorer/analyst Dushyant Madhukar Kumar. But don't go anywhere. Switch the tabs to follow our coverage of the second match of today's double-header of the WBBL and also don't forget to tune in to our network for the grand finale of the World Cup between India and Australia.
Heather Graham (Player of the Match): "Yes, it was. Credit to the girls in the powerplay. They put the pressure and we drove home the advantage. We want to go out there and play our best cricket and win. We are not bothered about the table. Great to see Villani batting through up the order and she did well. It's a great place for us and nice way to finish the week which has been hectic. Strano was good as well. Thank You."

07:30 IST and 13:00 Local Time | Hobart Hurricanes Women registers another convincing victory in the ongoing WBBL by defeating the Melbourne Renegades Women with 14 balls and 8 wickets remaining.

Earlier batting first, Melbourne Renegades Women struggled throughout their stay and they lost 4 quick wickets to start the game. Tammy Beaumont, Emma de Broughe, Harmanpreet Kaur and Courtney Webb fell cheaply and they together contributed just 6 runs! Jess Duffin joined the crease with her skipper Hayley Kristen Matthews and built a small partnership but she got out on 9 after facing 20 balls.

However, Hayley Matthews stood firm and scored 39 of 39 balls with 4 boundaries and gave her bowlers a total to fight. Josephine Dooley gave her a good company with her 16 run knock but the batting of the Renegades failed miserably. Heather Graham took 3 wickets. Nicola Carey and Molly Strano took two wickets. Strano became the second bowler to take 150 wickets in the WBBL history.

Coming to chase the 102 run target, Lizelle Lee and Ellyse Villani started well but Lee got out scoring just 11. But Villani and Bryony Smith kept the scoreboard going. Smith struggled in the middle throughout her stay and she made 15 of the 29 balls she faced. After Smith got out, Nicola Carey joined Villani at the crease and together they put up the runs quickly on the board and helped their team to register a convincing victory. Villani remained unbeaten on 46 and Carey scored a fine 25 with 3 boundaries.

Hayley Kristen Matthews and Georgia Wareham took one wicket each for the Renegades.

Stick around for the presentation ceremony.
