4:41 PM IST, 7:11 PM Local Time: A solid outing for the home team as Perth Scorchers win this game by 7 wickets with 9 balls to spare. They have played the better game and outplayed their opponents in all facets of the game. Perth makes it 2 wins out of 3 games and complete the double over the Hurricanes.

Chasing a tricky 158 for the win, Perth Scorchers got off to a steady start courtesy of Lauren Winfield-Hill and Beth Mooney. Winfield-Hill suffered from cramps and departed after scoring 29 off 25 balls. Beth Mooney showed her great form as she scored a fine half century. She scored 52 off 33 balls. Darke played well for her unbeaten 45* off 33 balls as she stayed till the end. Skipper Sophie Devine looked good for her 23 off 16 balls before giving her wicket away. Amy Jones scored 7* off 4 balls in the end as they got to the target in 18.3 overs. 5 extras given by the fielding side.

Hobart Hurricanes had a a tough day with the ball with lots of sloppy fielding and dropped catches. A wicket apiece for Molly Strano, Shabnim Ismail, and Heather Graham. The rest remained wicketless.

Earlier in the game, Hobart Hurricanes won the toss and decided to bat first. They lost Lizelle Lee early. Skipper Ellyse Villani looked good for her 39 off 26 balls before being run out unfortunately. They lost their way in the middle overs. Heather Graham scored 10. But it was Naomi Stalenberg who stood up for her side and top scored with 54 off 29 balls. Silver-Holmes scored 25 off 25 balls. 11 extras were given by the fielding side as Hurricanes ended with 158 in 20 overs.

Ainsworth once again was the pick of the bowlers for the Scorchers with figures of 3/25 in 3 overs. A couple of wickets apiece for Alana King and Amy Louise Edgar while Lilly Mills and Cleary got a wicket each to their name. Skipper Sophie Devine remained wicketless.

So, a win by 7 wickets for Perth Scorchers Women as they make it 2 wins out of 3 in WBBL 2023.
