MATCH REVIEWThe Heat got off to an excellent start in the Powerplay as they kept going all guns blazing. Josh Brown put on a dazzling display of strokes as he struck four boundaries inside the first four overs. Peirson played second fiddle but didn't hold back as he smashed a couple himself.

The problems began for the Heat right after the Powerplay as Aaron Hardie and Andrew Tye struck two quick blows. McSweeney and Brown were dismissed in quick succession leading to there being an increase in the required rate. The Scorchers kept creeping back into the game at that stage as Behrendorff got rid of Renshaw and Agar picked up Brown. The game was evenly poised at that stage with the pressure mounting on the chasing side.

There were far too many dot balls during the later stages of the innings and Max Bryant ended up playing a lone hand in the middle. The tail enders surrendered meekly without much ado and the visitors couldn't even make use of the Power Surge.

The Scorchers were outstanding with the ball in hand. They picked up wickets at the right time and pulled the game back in their favor post the 10th over. Lance Morris took a couple of wickets in the Surge and he ended up with a 3fer while Andrew Tye was the star of the show with the ball in hand as he chipped in with four wickets.
