That will be it from our coverage of match number 30 in the Men's Big Bash League. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of scorer/analyst Manish Bishnoi. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Ashton Agar (Player of the Match): "I understood that the pitch is made for the spinners on second ball I bowled to Cam Bancroft. It looked like it was going to turn.

Bowling left arm spin which moves away from the batter is the hardest ball to hit. So I didn't have to do too much in the power surge. I just had to hit the right length and it was going to be very difficult for the batters. I am lucky to have played on such pitches around the world which really helps when you come to a wicket like that.

Run outs are so good to get. When you don't get a conventional wicket and you get a run out, it's a beautiful thing.

We have felt the same the whole time. I think that's our strength. We plan well, we try to play our best game, we move on quickly and we go again next game. It's as simple as that for us."
Ashton Agar is the player of the match.
5:08 PM IST, 10:38 PM Local Time: The Perth Scorchers remain at the 2nd spot in the table with Sydney Thunder down at number 7 after the visitors romped on to a comfortable 7 wicket victory against Thunder at the Sydney Showground Stadium in match number 30.

Scorchers won the bat flip and decided to have a bowl restricting the Thunder side to 137/8 in their 20 overs with Alex Hales scoring 72, Cooper Connolly finishing with 3/25 and Ashton Agar with 2/6.

The chase started cautiously as the openers added 43 for the first wicket in 6 overs before Sam Whiteman was dismissed for 10 in 13 balls. Aaron Hardie scored run-a-ball 22 adding 44 for the 2nd wicket with Zak Crawley.

Scorchers went past 3 figures in the 16th over keeping Thunder in the hunt on a challenging surface but it was Crawley who hung around and completed his fifty in 49 deliveries and was the 3rd batter to get out scoring 58 in 56 balls.

It was a cakewalk for Josh Inglis (26* off 19) and Laurie Evans (5* off 5) who chased the total down with 5 deliveries to spare. Nathan McAndrew picked up 2 wickets for 27, skipper Chris Green (1/22) and Tanveer Sangha (0/14) tried to keep the Thunder bowlers in the hunt but the total was just not big enough to challenge the Perth batters.
