Milestone
That marks the end of our coverage from the 12th match of the ongoing BBL between Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Stars. Sydney Thunder get their first victory of the season after losing the first two games. On the flipside, Melbourne Stars loses their third game on a consecutive note.

For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off alongside my co-commentator Sidharth Gulati and our scorer/analyst Manish Bishnoi. Don't go anywhere, switch the tabs to follow our coverage of the second match of today's double-header of the BBL.
Chris Green(Sydney Thunder skipper)- "He (Zaman Khan) would have said I like bowling yorkers. I try to preserve my bat so I stay away from facing him much in the nets. He is an exceptional death bowler and takes big wickets and that helps us. I think we came back strongly and responded well after two losses."

13:11 PM IST and 6:41 PM Local Time | That's it. Sydney Thunder register a five-wicket victory.

Opting to bat first, Stars posted 172 in their full quota of 20 overs thanks to Beau Webster’s 44-ball 59 and contributions from skipper Glenn Maxwell (30 off 26), Hilton Cartwright (22 off 11) and Thomas Rogers (21 off 16). Stars lost momentum in the final two overs, managing only eight runs and losing five scalps. For Thunder, Daniel Sams grabbed a four-wicket haul while Zaman Khan took three. Thunder skipper Chris Green and Liam Hatcher took one apiece.

In response, Alex Hales and Cameron Bancroft set the platform with their 78-run stand for the opening wicket. Other batters chipped in with cameos without any run-rate pressure and Thunder eventually sealed the deal with 10 balls remaining. Hales top-scored for Thunder with 40 off 26. Bancroft made 30 off 20. Sams remained unbeaten on 22 off 13. For Stars, Webster ended with four wickets.
