That's it from our coverage of the 2nd Test match between England and West Indies from Trent Bridge. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and scorer Ashok Dayma. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Ben Stokes (England Captain): "Yeah, amazing. I thought the comeback we showed after the opening partnership was remarkable. To pick up 10 wickets for 70 runs is exceptional. Bash showed the world what he is capable of. To change his pace and line with nothing much from the surface was extraordinary.

I think in team sports, you want quite a few individuals to step up. The partnership last night between Root and Brook was great. Those conditions were hard to bat in. The ball was swinging. It gave us a good platform. We would have been happy to get some more runs in the first innings. But really happy with the performance of the boys throughout this Test.

I think this week has been great for the progression that this team has made. Ben Duckett's second innings was a great example of that. He adapted and changed his style with different fields set. Joe was Joe. Fantastic knock and another hundred in the winning cause. Brook was also sensational. Wood on any other day would get Player of the Match for the way he bowled.

(On Mark Wood) I think like Woody has not got the rewards in this game. Like batting, bowling is also about partnerships. With the way he was bowling, we got wickets from the other end. He will always give his heart out. He has been fantastic this week and I'm sure he will get the rewards in the future.

(On Chris Woakes) Woakesy has found his rhythm on day two. He led the attack brilliantly. He changed the game for us. He picked the first wicket and it led to a collapse. Coming into this game with some external noise, I think it hasn't affected him much."
Kraigg Brathwaite (West Indies Captain): "We could have been better with the ball. Probably 100-120 runs too much. We were good with the bat in the 1st innings and didn't follow that in the 2nd innings.

The effort was good to see. The fitness is there but we need to be much more disciplined. We gotta get better at knowing how to bowl at these pitches. Kavem gets a hundred and then not much in the 2nd innings, that's Test cricket. Learning from this will make us better in the future.

We dropped some crucial catches, that happens. What we can control is our line and lengths. We need to take our catches because catches win matches.

We gotta look forward to the future. Test cricket is never easy game. My word to the guys is to stay mentally tough and keep fighting."
Ollie Pope (Player of the Match): "I think Stokesy walked off and we got two wickets. I was keen to keep him off the field a bit longer. But Gus bowled fast and a good day in the end.

We saw it last night. When the lights came on, it seamed a bit. Root and Brook did a fine job. There was something in the wicket in the first phase of the Test match. We did well to adapt to the conditions.

I have been working hard about my game and I'm happy with where it is right now. Happy with my performance and hopefully, I'll carry it forward."
Player of the Match: Ollie Pope
Shoaib Bashir is the first spinner to pick up a fifer at Trent Bridge since Muthiah Muralidaran's 8/70 against England in 2006.
Shoaib Bashir becomes the youngest England bowler to pick up a fifer in men's Test at home. James Anderson was the previous youngest.

10:59 PM IST, 6:29 PM Local Time: England win the 2nd Test by 241 runs in a spectacular allround performance at Trent Bridge sealing the 3-match series with a match to go. The hosts found plenty of heroes in the first Test of the post-Anderson era wrapping the game in the dying moments of the fourth day.

West Indies won the toss, opted to bowl first with England hitting 416 on the first day. Ollie Pope starring with 121, Alzarri Joseph with 3/98. West Indies found a hero in Kavem Hodge who scored 120 and added 175 for the 4th wicket with Alick Athanaze pushing West Indies in the lead as the visitors scored 457 in their first innings.

Joe Root and Harry Brook took the role of Athanaze and Hodge in the English response taking their game one notch up to add 189 runs for the 4th wicket. Root scoring his 32nd century finishing at 122 with Brook scoring a brisk 109 with England securing a 384-run lead before getting bundled out in the afternoon session on day 4 for 425.

Chasing 485 with over 130 overs in hand, which is a plenty of time in modern day Test cricket. The opening pair of Kraigg Brathwaite (47 off 48) and Mikyle Louis (17 off 40) started off well adding 61 runs in the first hour of the 3rd session with Chris Woakes removing Louis first ball after drinks.

Shoaib Bashir operating from the other end unleashed his wrath putting West Indies from 61/0 to 113/8 and then bundling them out for 143 in just 36.1 overs. Jason Holder hit 37 in 42 balls, Joshua Da Silva had 14 to contribute. Besides the 4 aforementioned batters, no other player could score into double digits as Bashir ran through the middle order to finish with 5/41 in the 12th over.

Chris Woakes (2/28) accounted for the two openers, Gus Atkinson (2/49) removed Da Silva and Alzarri Joseph in the space of 3 balls with Mark Wood cleaning up Sinclair. As the time for stumps drew closer, Bashir bowling his 12th over on the trot knocked over Shamar Joseph to seal the win for England.

The next Test will begin on 26th July at Edgbaston.
A 5-wicket haul for Shoaib Bashir. His first at home and he gets a big hug from his skipper. With this, England win the match by 241 runs and regain the Richards-Botham trophy.
36.1 S Bashir to S Joseph
W BOWLED HIM! Bashir finishes off with a fifer! Around the wicket. A fuller length delivery on the middle stump line. Joseph gets on a knee to swing across the line and misses the ball as he ends up playing the wrong line all over. Ball turns from the middle stump and rattles in the sticks! England wrap up the win on the fourth day and take an unassailable lead in the 3-match series!
